Hadouken vanishing trick.
I’ve never seen this trick is there any explanation anywhere?
I’ve seen it before when I play, but didn’t really capitalize on it like this Ryu did. Interesting trick. I wonder if he knew exactly when it would dissipate, or if he just read the sonic boom, and figured he’d might as well buffer it and throw it out there.
so i did something that im not sure if anyone know about but what i did was cr.jab to cr.medium to super is that possible to do?
You got a 7-hit combo?
Meaty cr.Jab or Short works. Or some weird stuff happened, such as you tried it against Dictator, he used PC just as the cr.Jab would hit. But he was invulnerable. Then he loses invulnerability just as Ryu is about to retract his arm, and eats cr.Strong xx super.
yea but i did it in a ryu mirror
Has ShootingD retired completely? Who are the top Japanese Ryus at the moment?
Sasori, Gucchi, and Kurashashi are the stand outs. There are a few others who have risen to prominence as well. I’m not sure if ShootingD is 100% retired or not.
Sashishi should be added to that list.
Sashishi, Sasori, Sushi, Sashimi. All these Japanese words start to blend in after awhile and I forget them
Talking to muffy, he said that everyone in japan agrees that the two S guys are the top ryu’s right now. current standings. sasori and sashishi.
Those are all players from the Tokyo region. Aren’t Shiro and Futachan still around?
I can’t believe there’s actually a guy called Futachan. I really hope that name has some other meaning than what I’m thinking about.
Kansai (Osaka) and Chubu (Nagoya) players are still active, it’s just there’s never been many videos to come out of those regions, with the exception of some live stream events in Nagoya (Kasugai 50/Beast Cup etc) and the occasional Kouhatsu video. As a result, a good two-thirds of the Japanese playbase are severely underrated by foreign players, who understandably only have exposure to the famous players from Tokyo.
Shiro is a Kanto (Tokyo and surrounding area) player and he is still active – I played him when I last visited Japan in Dec/Jan this year – but he doesn’t enter tourneys as much as during 2007-2010. Futachan (I believe his nickname comes from his real surname which is Futamura?) also still plays, but he along with most of the other players outside the Kanto region haven’t been participating in Kanto tourneys – hence the lack of appearance in vids.
Off-topic:
BTW, Otochun has just posted that there will be a gathering tomorrow at Kouhatsu, from Neyegawa ABC, at Osaka (here?). Most certainly, no-one here can attend, but w/e. People should arrive at 9 PM.
any hd remix players on this thread? I need some new competiton. PSN: freeway230 I main Ryu
PSN: eltrouble
I pretty much only play HDR classic, since I have a strange love for old characters.
Main: Ryu, O.Ryu, O.Ken, O.Guile.
I’ve just added a bunch of Ko-hatsu arcade tournament results (2009-present) to the STR site. Maybe common knowledge to some but yeah, the Osaka region videos and info isn’t quite as popular and available as stuff from Tokyo (Nohoho has a lot of stuff on his site but sometimes maybe the organization makes it a little difficult to keep track of who and what is going on where) so maybe some can get a feel for some of the stronger players from this region (Kusumondo, Otochun, Aniken, Seki, Gunze, Superstar, etc.)
