I can’t speak for all those characters, but I know Q can punish a whiffed or blocked hurricane kick and joudan of any strength with several things. So, heads up, don’t just throw these things out.
Okay, this thread has some great info on it (nothing I didn’t already know, but it’s always nice to see other people getting to the same conclusions), but there’s one thing that’s been mentioned once that has me uber confused. Back on like… page 5 or something, someone mentioned that you can twirl the stick during the Denjin Charge to change the charge time? Could someone elaborate on that a little bit, because I’ve never seen or heard of that. :looney:
Denjin charges faster when you wiggle the stick. Some people say its rotation, but I honestly found that mashing like left to right or down to up the way you would to get out of stun is slightly faster.
Are you trying to shoryuxxdenjin? If so thats suicide unless shes in the corner. Ixx______I. It usually will hit her on the way up for sa2 if your at point blank range. However, if they roll recover in the corner I think she can parry a 2 hit denjin and grab you during your recovery. Maybe a three hit denjin is the safest bet.
Are there any other Ryu tutorial vids besides Mopreme’s Total Ryu? It’s a great vid, but I wish there was more. I’m thinking about doing one myself when/if I have the time. There would be a mindgames section, his SA specific combos, setups, cross ups, corner tactics, anti-air, jump ins, baiting, UOH, EX uses…whatever.
Hi everyone. I couldn’t find an answer to this in the thread, but if this was already mentioned somewhere I apologize. In Mopreme’s total Ryu video it looks like he combos both a standing fierce and a crouching fierce off of a UOH on Ken. I’m testing it on xbox right now but can’t seem to combo any normals off of the UOH. Is it perhaps an issue of very strict timing and/or range? Is it possible to pull this off consistently in the arcades?
