I didnt know where to post this since it is a combo sorta. Why do people frown upon the lp. DP>Ultra 1? Its free damage if they jump in, so why shouldnt I use it?
It is good in certain matchups or situations,but in most cases you will want to do a deep HP or MP DP.It does more damage than an early LP DP with no ultra,and it gives you more time to react,and you can always FADC it to land ultra.

Is there a video or post on Ryuâs safe jumps on 4 and 5 frame reversals? Every time I search I end up finding safe jumps on Ryu, not using Ryu.

Means that itâs a cancel. For example, if you do a special move after doing crouch mk, the startup of the special move cancels and overrides all or a part of the low kickâs recovery time. The end result is both moves coming out in a shorter time frame than both movesâ total frame counts added together would imply. Sometimes this allows moves to combo or to be a blockstring.
I wonder why dont people use S.MK over cr.HP after F.HP (Solar plexus). Only 10 damage less (well 100 stun less) and very confortable 2f link. Dont know why people try so hard for the 1f link for just 10 damage increase
I agree, I even see daigo starting to use the stand mk link now instead, the timing on the 1 framer has to be one of the hardest links in the game to do consistently.
Also adding onto that, why dont people use more advanced SPS FADC combos as punishers. I always only see SPS, cr.hp (or s.mk), into SRK FADC or tatsu.
Without using ultra and only 2 bars you can do SPS, s.mk xx fireball FADC, cr.hp xx tatsu or SRK (370 and 395 damage respectfully). You can even do that and end with SRK FADC ultra if you have 4 bars (508 damage MIDSCREEN, more than any super combo can do). Thats great damage for the bar you spend. Interesting to note though that if you do SPS, cr.hp xx fireball FADC you are only in range for a c.mk or sweep after that. So the combo i listed is the most optimal damage wise even with an easier link.

In the corner. I use SPS > cr.HP > Fireball > FADC > cr.MP > cr.HP > Fireball > FADC > cr.HP > lp.SRK/lk.tatsu > MP srk
880 Stun 450-477 damage. 3 Bars needed to start it. Its worth it.
Soo ummm. I donât think daigo has ever been this good with ryu. His execution is tooo goddamn amazing. His reads outside of that justin match are ridiculous and his reactions are on par with ricky and rog at their primes.
Especially when he does those :f::hp:>>:d::mp::hp: links (I think thats the link, regardless itâs sick.)

Some of the most simplistic ones:
cr.mk xx tatsu (for cornering the opponent)
cr.mk xx hadouken (useful for general pressure, only cr.mk xx ex hadouken is a true blockstring)
cr.mk xx shoryuken (essentially bait the opponent into trying to beat your low poke, uppercut to the face)
cr.mp, cr.mp, cr.hk
fw.hp, shoryuken (just good damage simply)
fw.hp, cl.mk, shoryuken (more damage with a tad more difficulty)
j.hk, cr.mk, whatever
j.hk, cr.hk
The classic:
srk FADC u1 (This is a bitch to learn, easy to retain the ability to do. Like riding a bike)
In the corner you can do other stuff pretty simply:
cr.mk, lk tatsu, shoryuken
ex tatsu, shoryuken
ex tatsu, u1

Something that more people should know and use:
If you manage to beat a focus attack with SPS, the second hit will be a counter hit which will allow you to combo into a 5f move. You can either go for a close st.hp combo, or a sweep if you want the knockdown.
whatâs a good way to OS tatsu from the ground for those teleports/backdashes that sweep OS doesnât reach?

Thereâs no way. All you can do is buffer ultra/super and hit them by reaction.
