Ryu already has a chicken wing move.
Its called jumping and kicking or spacing the hurricane kick. He doesn’t need an anti fireball safe move if he has the best fireballs. Not to mention you could hurricane kick through a fireball now so that is a no brainer.
If he were to have a cannon drill attack or some teleport to get across the screen faster with priority or evasion, that would be worth mentioning but that is just random talk.
Winning is what the game is about and if I lose at least I have chicken.

First you say back in sf2, Ryu was your hero! why was he your hero? I mean he had the same 3 specials: hadouken (aka adouken aka hadoken), shoryuken, tatsumakisenpukyaku. Back in sf2 people were still throwing fireballs and dp’ing the resulting jump in! nothing has really changed on that front. You later go on to say that all you see now is people throwing hadouken and then waiting for people to jump in and then throwing super/ultra! Are you crazy??? I mean, what Ryu throws a hadouken and then throws his Ultra on the jumping opponent? I mean, I dont even think that is possible because as far as I know, Ryu cant throw Metsuhadouken whilst a hadouken is on screen. Please correct me if I’m wrong here. I agree that Ryu can throw Super and that is something Capcom have removed from Super SF4. Does that resolve your problem(s) with Ryu? Do you hate Ryu the character in sf4 or the people using him? I mean, what do you want people to do? stop throwing hadoukens? I’ve played against many Fei-Longs (assuming that having a name like bruce lee kid suggests you main fei long) and have had excellent battles. Have you seen the speed of Fei-longs rekka? I mean, within certain ranges it would be totally stupid to throw a hadouken because it would get beat by the Rekka. Have you seen the speed and range of Fei Longs Focus attack? Fei has all the tools to be competitive against Ryu. Do you continuously get beat by Ryu’s online or something? Do you want Ryu to have a slower recovery from his fireball or something or no fireball at all? I just dont know what your trying to achieve.
