it’s not the fireball crossing up that’s causing the unblockable. that’s why you don’t cause an unblockable w/ sim if you tele to the other side. it’s the wide-eyes state they go into that’s causing it.
I’ve never seen anyone be proven wrong as often as you are and STILL have the temerity to run their mouth about anything and everything.

Shrugs While that would be ridiculous, he wouldn’t be the only character with a one frame jab -> Ultra link. It’s not like it does wonders for Chun or Rog.
Maybe having charge-based ultras can be a reason for this not being as fluid of an option. Maybe.
In case some of you don’t know, the far standing jab to ultra link with chun is way hard. And by way hard I mean that if you have really good execution, you MIGHT hit it 1/20 times in training mode.
There is a reason you have never seen it in a match/tourney video, its because its almost impossible.
Its not like blanka’s jab link into ultra which people actually use in tourney.
i don’t think it’s 5 frames, a friend of mine tested it and it will probably be like 8 frames. in reversal it punishes Zangief MP Glove but not LP one, so it’s 8 frames…assuming that frame list for these moves is invaried in super
fb fadc u2 -> yes it works anywhere…thing is: if your fireball it’s canceled from another move like c.mk or c.mp it may be a 1 or 2 frame link if it works, I didn’t test this by myself so I can only speak judging on my friend’s tests but he tried a lot of different options. However it seems easy to land in the corner coz the char it’s not pulled far away
If that really does work in the final build, U2 might be the better ultra. I mean, Ryu lands a cr.MK>hadoken at least 3-4 times per round.
Maybe is right. Stringing into charge based moves isn’t exactly a difficult process, especially when you’re playing a character that’s usually holding down/back. Sure, they generally can’t just walk forward, jab > Ultra, but it’s not that fluid an option because it’s a 1-frame link that you gamble your Ultra meter on with a very small window of success, and a very big punish if you fail. And no way to make it easier.
As would Ryu’s if it was 5 frames. But I doubt it’s that fast. Just faster than Metsu Hadoken.
If that is the case then Ryu has been buffed.
He still has his links, speed, and recovery.

hmmm it looks like Ryu once again does not have any weaknesses.The only thing that he wouldnt do before is punish projectiles using ultra 1 but with the extra damage of his new one then who cares.
