Its simple he can Hadouken xx into super but he can’t Hadouken then super anymore, unless the fireball is not on the screen.
TBH that shit had to go; it encouraged turtle style play. Its just too easy and the risk/reward factor is plain broken.

Who cares what it encouraged, what it did is that it forced you stay on the ground and block fireballs.
lmao
Is this meant to be a valid argument in defense of the mechanic?
I havent rad this topic, I am sure people are whining here about Ryus nerf, but I am telling ya, Dudly and Ryu are top tier in SSFIV.
Ryu is just a little nerfed. Trapde uppercut to ultra no longer work? so what its a anti noob thing anyway.
can someone nominate this for an article…
Yes, a very anti noob thing that is used to good effect by scrubs like Daigo and Mago.
Why wouldn’t they? It’s easy to pull off.
The problem is that if they traded why do they deserve ultra? When it comes down to it a trade means both players screwed up. Yet somehow its ok for Ryu or Sagat to screw up and be rewarded for it? Come on now…
Daigo and Mago are using it because SFIV gave it to them. They play simply by making the most of whatever any game offers them. If it’s available to use they are going to use it because that brings out the highest level of play possible. They are only designed to win and that’s it. Not because they think it’s fair or cool that they can do it while Yoshiwo’s Guile can’t. If Sagat’s EX tiger shots created unblockable setups like Sentinel if you did them meaty on the opponents wake up Mago would whore that all over the place too. Doesn’t mean it’s not fucking stupid.
Whatever they think they know trade ultra didn’t fit in with the intergrity of the way trades are supposed to work in other SF games. Where the trade only is based on the air based move vs. the ground based move. Nothing else. There is no other reward or situation since both people fucked up trying to get in a clean hit. The only time it’s supposed to be useful to trade is to continue giving yourself a health lead while you’re trying to apply offense.
Though if you don’t have the health lead air to ground trades ARE NEVER supposed to work in your favor. Especially not enough to land 400 + damage. Bottom line.
Your sarcasm detector must’ve been broken - I was making fun of MikeTyson’s post since saying trade DP->ultra only hits scrubs is probably one of the really stupid things to say.
There are tons of videos of SF4 play in the world where trade DP->ultra have been used to good effect against very good players all over the world.
News at 11.
Tonight.
i don’t play ryu or sagat but if you think that they deserve ultra off a trade then you’re an idiot. period.
translation: i want this unfair advantage to hide the holes in my gameplay. lmao
Ryu could do that in Super Turbo without being able to have two projectiles on screen. In the Guile matchup it didn’t do anything but give him an auto loss since he was forced to jump now that you had something that killed his fireball game. He has to jump or lose to your fireball game for free since having a hadoken on the screen while throwing the super basically allows him to option select every move Guile does. Basically pick his loss.
You’ll still be able to force people stay on the ground just by the super alone. In Vanilla it was the best super in the game by a MILE.
Does anybody know whether Ryu’s Ultra II has juggle capabilities?
in SF4, you can do a light kick tatsu followed by a Super. I was hoping you could do light kick tatsu followed by Ultra II (would this work in the corner)?

ryu’s unblockable in ssf4
Hahaha holy shit
Off to a great start lol.
Hey fireball characters have a reason to throw now! Sucks for everyone else.
That’s just not fair lol
