You want an ultra that does more damage than Ryus’ current one, but is just as stupidly easy to work into a combo/setup.
You realise that Ryus’ ultra is widely accepted as BY FAR the best in the game, and you think it doesn’t do enough damage? That’s the tradeoff. It’s not supposed to do as much raw damage as a final atomic buster because it’s much much easier to land. You want his new ultra to freakin’ cause 517 points of damage but be just as easy to land off of an FADC.
Well yes, honestly I’m just wanting a more level playing field with Sagat. It’s not going to be overpowered or anything like that. It’ll probably do just a little more then the current 478 that the SRK->Metsu Hado does since set ups don’t automatically increase the damage output of Ultras. Still not as bad as what Sagat can do even without the F+HK.
Look I see the problem, people don’t want the rich to get richer. Sagat, Akuma, and Ryu shouldn’t improve, I get it. I wouldn’t mind Ryu getting a nice bump in damage with his new Ultra while still being quite landable, but if it doesn’t happen then that’s fine.
you dont. what hes trying to say, why even have another ultra if both can combo the EXACT same way but one does more damage? you keep justifying that he should have this, but then what the point? cuz it looks cool/different?
Actually I do, he established that to me a few post ago and that was apart of my point I was making about the rich getting richer since many people don’t want to see Ryu with a stronger ultra using the same million set ups he already has.
As for me justifying it, I’m not justifying anything. I’m just saying I want something useful since he and the rest of the cast are going to get a new Ultra regardless. I’ll be fine if that isn’t the case. As for the ultra set ups, they’re already there for Ryu, it’s up to Capcom to make them work or not work or create a Ultra like Dan’s that just can’t be juggled into.

If you get a new ultra that does 1.3x more than current ultra…it’ll be overpowered.
I just hope ryu gets a srk ultra that does more damage but can’t be combo’d as easy…more like ken’s set ups. I main ryu but I will admit that improving him too much is just stupid and unfair to the rest of the cast for obvious reasons.
I suspect the rumored “return of gouken’s denjin” may well be “return of Ryu’s Denjin”
If uncharged FB is treated as a lvl 2 FA, with any charge gains lvl 3 FA property and a further increase in stun over time for possible auto dizzy. Its dmg would understandably be significantly less than Metsu Hadou. Imho seems more fitting for Ryu to come up with the Denjin (electric) on his own given his Shakunetsu (red hot) Hadouken.
a ranged FA (ie unblockable if charged) with the potential to dizzy, yet more versatile than his current Ultra, but less than half the dmg of metsu.
In the event of being wrong, Ryu could gain the ShinSRK (having faced Gouken megaman style) while Gouken gets the nigh unblockable tazerdouken to further train Ryu later.
personally i think people need to stop bitching dp trade to ultra. shouldnt be jumping at him or anyone in the first place when you see ULTRA is stocked.
anyone wanting to buff ryu or sagat should have a brick dropped on their head immediately. He will probably get his tatsu ultra back and it might be a mid-air ultra (they might be putting mid-air ultras as the knew ultras… i don’t know).

If they do ANYTHING to ryu it will be to nerf him. Anyone play SC4? They went around nerfing all over the place with the patches for that game. I don’t expect much of a difference for ryu. But i doubt he’ll be getting his already godly lp srk turned into the demon weapon this online lp srk spammer wants…
I really hope you’re attempting to get a reaction out of people with that comment and not really serious. SFIV would be the last game where characters should be able to feint projectiles.

The hcf kick that he had in Third Strike, they should all armor break(a bit selfish on my part) and the ex-version should bounce you against the wall for a follow up opportunity.
His second ultra should be a transformation, when you execute it he should turn into Evil Ryu with a timebar of 20 seconds…while he is under the influence of the Satsui no Hado, he should have all of the same exact moves BUT he should have Akuma’s teleport ability, hcb double hit fireball and he should be able to perform the metsu shoryu or his own version of the raging demon(too much??). Only 20 second duration.
Which other move in SFIV do you see bouncing people off of walls? This is not 3rd strike, this is SFIV and in SFIV people don’t bounce of walls.
Just like how you can follow up Supers with normals and specials in 3rd strike, you cannot do it in SFIV … Different games. Accept it already God damn.
