The reason why people are so attached to the concept that they are their bodies is because they are so dependent on their 5 senses to explain their reality for them. The external world is merely a reflection of the inner world within you. People believe that reality is what you can see, smell, touch, hear, and taste, but that is far from the truth. To me, the body is just clothing and nothing more, and it is not who you are at all.
The more you identify with the body/ego, the more you will suffer since the the ego is never satisfied. Most people in the world are attached to their ego/body/external world hence they are totally blind to the true nature of reality. Most humans are slaves to their addiction of the material world and they will never question it since they think it is all that is and the way it should be, but that is a total lie. The very nature of this lie is what keeps us enslaved, blind, and ignorant.
Quantum physics has already proven that reality is fundamentally empty and it only exist or manifested by You when it is observed and it is shaped by your own perceptions of it. It is essentially like what Bruce Lee, Buddhists and Hindus say; “You become what you think/believe”. What this also means is that you are not separate from the external world since all things are connected all throughout the Universe as one body.

Seriously though, this is a BIG ass step in the realm of medicine and the medical arts as a whole. What if the patient lives? Of course, if I were a doctor or some kind of guy who doesn’t much mind the whole ethics and “YOU CAN’T GO AROUND CLONING HUMAN BEINGS!! IT IS NOT RIGHT!!!” war cries, I’d say to myself,“Hmmm… At long last, we really CAN rebuild him. We really DO have the technology. Welp, I have fucked this body up pretty good over the past number of years. Why not just lop my dome off and stick it on a clone of me? We got the skills to do it now. On top of that, With a new body I pretty much can dump all the problems I had in the old one. No more cancer treatments, no more “Burning sensation when I unrinate”, no more heartburn…I hope. I think I know a few Dr. Frankenstein types who wouldn’t mind getting some shiny new coin and a convertible this month…” And boom. New me, same as the old me.
Well, that’s a lot of in the future kinda planning though. I have the bad feeling this poor dude is about to die very badly on this first run. Is his death any less horrible that it is by his own decision? Well, whatever happens, I hope everyone involved the best of luck.
