I think as long as they followed typical donor protocols HLA type, blood type, it definitely could be possible. The main issue is the donor body’s immune system rejecting the tissue from the head. There are some pretty interesting studies on transplant recipients getting memories and feelings from the previous donor, which really blows apart the typical understanding of how the body works. If anything this will be an interesting human study of something no human has ever experienced and this can shed light on it the way an animal reproduction never could.
Yes, this will lead to major discoveries to how the body Really works. The human body is still a very mysterious thing to most people. We don’t even know how it completely works, and we are using it all the time, which I find ironic… Our very own physical being, the most complex biological entity on the planet, with a brain that works at the quantum level, and we are often astounded or confused by it.
I have a question about heart transplantation. The heart needs to be fresh and still beating/alive during the transplantation process, correct? I think a heart transplant must be incorporated with the head/brain transplant just like in Robo Cop for a complete body switch.
