So I recently jumped on the haggar bandwagon.

Been messing around with Haggar/Sentinel/Felicia for a few days. Haggar with Drones and RBS is a force to be reckoned with. My only issue is that I haven’t yet figured out how to use Felicia’s assist to re launch with Haggar (drones are generally used to get in)

Thoughts on this setup?

I’m assuming your using Sand Splash (I wouldn’t use the ground bounce one since it’ll probably be used to because the pipe). It shouldn’t be too hard. Since his OTG+follow up aren’t specials you can call the assist at any time. Also consider try ending an air series with QCF+:s: to see if it’s any easier.

combo. ends with QCF+S call Felcia and do Haggar’s OTG. Haggar hits, Felcia hits as Haggar swings pipe which is canceled to hoodlum L.

I run Haggar/Dorm/Taskmaster and the OTG pick up with arrows isn’t that tough. You just need to time it differently depending how far away from the body you are. If you right next do it. Call Taskmaster right away OTG and let pipe hit. You can follow up with S or Hoodlum launcher, though S will wiff a lot if you are in the corner. If you are mid-screen and seen them down with S and they are not at your feet. Still call Taskmaster right away but dash and then OTG. You should always be able to follow up with just S in this case. Just takes a bit of practice but the timing isn’t strict.

I am having a serious character crisis and need input. Haggar is hands down my best character (he beats everyone for me) followed by Hulk. Vanilla = Hulk/X/X and then Bum inspired me to pick up Haggar. Then Kane Blueriver got me to pick up sent. Hag/Hulk/Sent. Used that team for 3-4 months…

But the past ~2 months I have been changing everyone and everything. (except my Haggar)

Any ideas as to who to put with him? (I refuse to use wesker/dante/vergile/doom) My most recent was Hag/Joe/RR… but I can’t do anything with Joe and RR.

I won’t list who I have tried because… its been just about everyone. I just need convincing.

It depends moreso on what your trying to do. You could try something as simple as Hagger/Trish/Ryu (something i’ve been experimenting with) and you can get at least 1.2 million and a half off the first touch on a charecter. plus you have save dhc’s and both abuse meter really well.

Ok.

Sentinel. Drones help pressure. Works well with anyone.
Deadpool. Change of pace compared to Haggar. Quick work hits low. Possible pipe unblockables.
Phoenix. Haggar is a battery.
Spencer. Big damage. Slant shot help Haggar land full rff.
Magneto. Beam helps Haggar get in. Lariat/axe assist + attraction has potential. Haggar can build meter for easy gravity squeeze.
Chris. Mad synergy. Sans Dhc. thc allows Haggar to combo
Morrigan. Haggar = battery. Morrigan harmonize assist. Add a meter hungry person to be satisfied.
Ryu. Haggar builds him meter. Start picking off assists.
Storm. See Ryu
Doctor Strange. See Ryu. Also bolts of balsack.
Akuma. Lol tatsu. Akuma demands the Mayor get in.
Hawkeye. Poisoned while being pressured forever sucks huh? Also triple arrows.
Taskmaster. Helps him get in. Competent anywhere.
Zero. Haggar being a politician he understands the need to put people through loops… Lightning loops.

Won a Monthly tournament with the Haggar/Doom/Ammy team. and it was streamed. going to post the archives of my matches in the video thread

I’m running a Haggar/RR team with Spitfire assist, but I’m having trouble finding a good third. For right now, I have Dante with either Jam Session or Weasel Shot and it’s been going fairly well…that is until I lose the Mayor and the Raccoon. My Dante is bad (and having him on anchor certainly doesn’t help). However, I am loving the synergy with these three, so I guess I’ll push my luck and keep the Demon Hunter on my team.

If anyone has a suggestion for a different assist/character, I would more than appreciate it!

Dante 2nd. Jam Session.

Alright, I’ll try that out and see if it works better for me. I don’t really like Rocky in anchor position, but I’m more competent with him than with Dante.

The reason i say that is because i feel Dante is good there. Dante jam session could help rocky with his zoning likewise a boring Dante zoner like me can certainly abuse log trap.

So yeah i think it depends on what is safer between DT (4 recovery) and This weighs more than me! (28 recovery +8 on block)

just play hag/sent/strange!

Not sure if anyone has posted this but when calling nemesis(a) in the corner during a cr.h if you delay hoodlum launcher just slightly you catch them on the opposite side potentially setting up a pretty tricky reset. You can either catch them normally or delay, cross over and try a reset during the sjump.

Yeah, that happens sometimes when I use Deadpool (A)

After a friend recommended I pick up Skrull, I decided to see how I could work him into a Haggar team.

One idea I came up with was Haggar-lariat / Frank-shopping cart / Skrull-orbital grudge.

My idea behind this is that Haggar can be great for leveling up Frank, plus the shopping cart assist is good for Haggar (can extend combos, push opponents to the corner, etc). I figure Skrull’s orbital grudge would be good for interrupting opponents’ actions thanks to its super armor. Plus, orbital grudge can extend Haggar combos and, as per somebody on the Skrull forum, even Frank’s combos. And while I don’t quite get how it works, I hear Skrull is a good anchor.

My second idea, and the one I like more, is Haggar-lariat / Skrull-orbital grudge / Doom-molecular shield.

Again, I feel as though orbital grudge has a useful place as far as interrupting opponents and extending combos goes. DHCing from a Haggar combo into Inferno probably does a healthy bit of dammage, too. Also, I figure that Doom’s rocks move slow enough to provide proper cover for Haggar as well as doing that and providing some elastic slams setups for Skrull. Plus, Doom anchor is scary. Even if a trash Doom like myself can catch somebody with a foot dive then X-Factor, most people are gonna be dead. Lastly, molecular shield gives Doom the sphere flame hyper during THCs, which could probably do nice damage when combined with Giant Haggar Press and Inferno.

Anybody have experience with these teams/characters and will to give out advice/warning/tips? All input is appreciated

Haggar prefers a beam to get in. I think you should screw around with the other assists of skrull. I’ll hit the lab tommorow as I’m headed to work

Hey peoples. I want to run a mayor team so bad, and I’ve labbed his combos forever, never found a nice team for him. I don’t wanna play more than 3 teams, and I also wanna play Taskmaster with Dark Hole support, because that combination is so good. So, why not use all three. For combos, pipe or pipeless, midscreen or corner, Haggar gets extension from both assists, a beam, a pressure tools, and gets stupid-high damage, good for him, though I am much more comfy with say, Dante or Arthur assists for picking up off of a grounded command throw. Taskmaster gets Dark Hole, good for pressure, unblockables and zoning, and Haggar spin lets him extend and spin can even let taskmaster combo off of forward throw, SO fun. Anyone on the team can TAC to dormammu to kill way too many people off a touch. And Dorm gets a beam for zoning and teleport sillyness, and a spin for anti-pressure and anti-tridash, and he can go into jumploops off it.

So, here’s the problem. They all are really well supported by each others assists, so who goes where? Taskmaster gets so many converts, and can abuse so many avenues of approach that even though he’d normally be the obvious anchor choice, he’s absolutely perfect on point. Haggar/Dorm/Task, obvious choice, Haggar shows off, DHC to Ballz for safety, chaotic flame and body splash makes birthdays a dream. Task/Dorm/Haggar actually sounds viable too, going vanilla style on this, and once Task touches, he TACs to Dormy off any throw or unblockable or anything, gets a kill from it, and Dorm zones all day and all night. Still safe DHCs from everything, doublebeam supers makes birthdays easy too. Then Haggar/Task/Dorm, Haggar gets a DHC to counter and arrows, still fairly safe midscreen, and Haggar can still TAC to dormy by doing so right after a Taskmaster-assisted relaunch, and if Haggar dies, Task with just Dark Hole is still crazy competent. This setup will let Haggar get close/touch, TAC to Dorm for saved meter, still kill, set up zoning time. Too many options! I’m stuck, any thoughts?

Honestly, i feel the same way about my haggs/deadpool/doom team. I just start whichever point matchup i like the most. I have even gotten to the point where i can anchor haggar in matchups that dont have really dumb zoning.
