I don’t think every characters is going to have an official partner. Only the teams heading to Antarctica to find Pandora. So the “main cast” of characters.
Balance wise, he’s not, but other than that, people don’t like it when your objective is to annoy the hell out of them.
What if there is a Satsu No Hado gem that can be applied to a number of characters. It would turn Ryu to Evil Ryu . Ken to Violent Ken. Sakura to Sunburnt Sakura. Akuma to Oni and Dan to… God
All joking aside I wonder how the collectable aspect of these gems will work. Are they something attached to your profile that you can wager in online matches? Can they be bought as DLC? Are they costumes, power-up, costume that power up? So many things will need to be answered at Comic Con
I never felt that he fit in Street Fighter. He’s the worst out of the newcomers (Rufus, Abel, Juri, Viper, etc) as far as that goes IMO.
Personally, for me, I am a HUGE fan of Lucha Libre and I was really excited about a lucha libre style fighter making it into Street Fighter. Virtua Fighter did an excellent job with El Blaze. Same can be said for Dead Or Alive. El Fuerte fell extremely flat to me. He just never felt right…plus I hate the whole cooking spin on his style. Made him seem like a damn joke.
Any speculations on what teams (tekken side) are left?

I think 46 is a safe number to work with assuming this releases in March. If any event was going to have more than the typical 4 character reveals it was going to be TGS. lupinko’s tweet could be referring to guest characters as well… Anyway anyone with common sense knows that Cody and Guy are in this and that Rufus is the official partner for Zangief.

Looks like a pretty weak lineup for the next 5 months in regards to hype… definitely nothing will be as hype as Poison or Rolento aside from a possible Urien reveal. Doing it this way also means Sakura would miss and love her or hate her her popularity, especially in Japan is undeniable. Personally think the only locks in the 7 remaining slots is Dictator and Akuma with Sakura (w/Dan, Karin or Sean) having a big chance. Dict will need muscle for the “story” so expect either Boxer/Claw or something a bit more surprising like Juri, Seth or Urien (imagine if it was Gill…)

I would agree with you on Jin and Jun, a lot of people think Xiayou will be his partner, but considering the huge push Jun has received in TTT2, it would make more sense to have her in the game than Xiayou.
Xiayou’s real partner is Panda or Wang, and we all know they’re not making it in (unless Kuma has alt for it)
And Jun’s been known to be in TTT2 for a long time, plenty enough for Ono and team to work on, especially since she shares a lot of things with Asuka. (Though in this engine I’m sure they’ll be different enough)
Wasn’t Xiayou and Alisa pushed pretty heavily in that 3D CGI Movie for Tekken that just came out? Those 2 and Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya are the 4 playable characters for Tekken Tag 2 Prologue.
So Sodom’s pretty much out now? That really sucks, cause all the other Mad Gear are in.
Any word on Birdie? i think he would fit in good with Claw, Boxer or Dictator.
It depends if they decide to base her partnership on Blood Vengeance, Tekken 6, or Tekken Tag 2.
Panda will most likely be a pallet swap for Kuma, or possibly a white and black striped gem 
I’m thinking Juri won’t be in the game because she’s going to be released as DLC for UMvC3. I strongly believe Viper is out of this because she’s in Marvel 3.
And if the crossover exclusive theory holds, that explains why Alex won’t be in this game, as pointed out by oracle.
That’s all speculation on my part, but would make sense.
I knew they were promoted, but I didn’t know Xiayou and Alisa were partners. I always figured Alisa would partner with Lars, but I suppose that could work too if they’re coming from the TTT2 angle.

Alisa and Jin is the pairing that makes the most sense, since (according to Heihachi’s SFxT bio), the SFxT Jin is the T6 one - the “evil dictator” brat.
Though, this wouldn’t mean anything in the end, since Nina works for Jin in T6 - and yet she’s with Kazuya lolz
TTT2 Jun is pretty much nothing alike Asuka aside from the way some moves look. If Capcom is willing to, they can put her and make a good job on it (which they won’t).
I still think they will pair Alisa with Lars, and Jin with Eddy.
If they base it on the Tekken 6 deal, then Eddy will work for in in some way.
I still think Mika’s in it rember ono just said shes not zangiefs partner and when someone asked was karin and R mika in it he said he cant talk about new characters
I did until a fan tweeted Ono this weekend about Mika’s inclusion, and he responded with “I wish”. : (
He also said that “He never gave up”.
The response was to Mika being Zangiefs partner, not as an inclusion to the game. So, he wishes that she was Zangiefs partner, but it is Rufus instead. However, Mika will probably have another partner that might make sense. There may not be another character in this game who could of been Rufus’ partner.
