Mika might not make it into SFxT vanilla but I think she has a solid chance in the eventual arcade edition. :mad:

Dudley, Eddy Gordo and Elena seem like they have a good shot though.

Possible Zangief partners based on the "Giant" comment.

Rufus - Everyone thinks he is his partner due to the cinematic trailer. And his gut can be considered quite giant.
T. Hawk - Standing at 7’ 7" no one can argue T.Hawk is a big fighter.
Urien - Urien is 6’ 11" , not really a giant but he is pretty tall. And a fan favorite and highly requested character.
Birdie - Birdie is 7’ 1" and a pretty tall fighter. Birdie also considers Zangief a rival due to their similar hair style choices.
E. Honda - While Edmond Honda is not tall, he defiantly falls into the giant category due to his weight. 400 pounds of sumo.
Haggar - Standing at 6’7" and weighing 266 lbs Haggar is something of a giant. Many consider him a Zangief clone and do not see him making into the game.
**Hakkan **- Taller than every other fighter listed except T.Hawk, and weighing more than even E.Honda. Hakkan truly is a giant. He is fairly unpopular however.
Q - Standing at 7’5"he is the same height as the king himself Sagat. He would make a very odd and interesting partner for the Red Cyclone.
Sodom - Sodom is actually seven feet tall, he is in all respects a giant.

I would like to see R.Mika, but I think it is pretty obvious they just confirmed she is not Gief’s partner.
This still keeps the hope alive for an R.Mika X El Fuerte team however.

Sounds like Ono is trying to literally make SF “Bigger” than TK. Hugo, Zangief, Sagat, and another huge character?!

Do we really need 2 threads discussing who Zangiefs partner is? I mean sure Rufus was the star of a 3 minute CGI clip and was with Zangief but what about Dan and Haggar! Their 3 second cameos aren’t much differen’t from the 3 minute starting role Rufus had… Let’s also discuss if Asuka is in this game, could’ve been Christie who was talking to Chun Li, she’ll be a good partner for Lili. Likewise with Cody and Guy… Cody did say he was missing the party… I wonder if Bison and Jin will be in this game, sure there’s a big fight between their two corporations but that doesn’t mean they’re in!

He’s only used to give that team a reason to go to where Pandora is, AK will probably get a cameo in an ending at best.

Pretty sure the most recent cinematic trailer has sort of set that Rufus will be Zangiefs partner.

Ryu/Ken vs Kaz/Nina
Hugo/Poison vs King/Marduk
Rufus/Zangief vs Bob/Julia

might as well stop denying it and accept it to avoid future dissapointment

Not bad Kikoken,though i would prefer feng over leo(since they seem to be focusing on the baji elements of julia anyways) and there is quite a few characters on the capcom side i would replace with vega,juri,and urien. Still nice work

your looking way into that cody and guy quote… there in, I mean why waste everyone’s time in that trailer and put them in? just to be revealed that they are some sort of background cameo?

and the reason dan and haggar got deconfirmed is because they got their ass handed to them (they lost in like three seconds each) …

cody and guy not so much, before cody kicked the sign it said “new challengers” and he walked towards the ring to start a fight with King and Marduk (he had the rocks and everything ready)
