I thought of something I don’t think has even been brought up yet.
Version exclusive character or characters if there is one for each system, brings up a rather interesting dilemma.
Who would their official partner be? They could possibly not have any, which seems unlikely considering the way the story has been explained to us so far.
Or one character is each version exclusive characters official partner. They would always have a partner, just their partner would be different depending on the title.
The third option is that each version (if there are more to come) would have their own unique teams. One Tekken or SF character paired with a version exclusive.
It is certainly something to think about. Feedback on the topic would be interesting also, I may have overlooked some things.
I imagine the version exclusive characters will be paired with the random select button on the character select screen… assuming there is only one exclusive character per version.
If Lupinko is correct about “more characters than UMVC3” then we’re only about half way done with the roster reveals. 26 characters announced so far, so yeah…atleast (and I highly doubt any more.) another 26 to go to = 52.
Btw what’s people’s stance on guest characters here?

That would be incredible. I think guest characters kind of delude the idea of Street Fighter X Tekken but SNK could be a fine exception seeing as they are just as much a part of the SF vs series as Tekken now is.
I think the only guest characters will be version exclusives and maybe a Namco Vs Capcom fight. People have mentioned Pacman and Megaman.
CvS1 was really Street Fighter Vs King of Fighters, yet we found Morrigan and Nakoruru tucked away in the roster as unlockables.
I expect something similar here, possibly with a Darkstalker and a Soul Calibur character. We’ll see. Would main Pac Man.
Soul Calibur and Darkstalkers makes sense considering they are most likely the next fighting games to come from both companies. Unless I am overlooking something from Namco.
Yeah I know but Cole already kinda ruined the purity of that so(Besides, I have somewhat special feelings about Poison being in. She alone is enough for me to say that the purity was killed somewhat, but that’s a discussion for another day)
Oh god I just realized that with Capcom’s track record of releaseing a ton of costumes, we might see some characters return in that form(Think Guile with CHarlie’s clothes)
I would buy 20 copies of SC Yoshimitsu for Yoshi. That guy is hysterical. NAMU NAMU NAMU!
Could also mean a panda costume for kuma.
I rather think these guest characters “kill” the purity of SFxT, although they are a nice addition for a cross over game. For me, Poison > Cole.
About half-released…It reminded me of something. On the NYCC (probably) Ono said that roster is about half-released. I know, Ono is Ono, but still somehow I more believe this information than the numbers reaching over half a hundred.
Well, for me Poiso kinda soiled it.
IN MY OPINION she has no place in SFxTK because she’s NOT(again IMO) a Street Fighter character. She was a background character, but had a very loud cult following that trough their fan requests got her included in the game and you know what I am happy for em, I really am. It’s just that she could have better been introduced as a new SF char in AE or Super or whatevs.
Not in a crossover meant to have the two franchises go all out.
Guest characters are just that: GUESTS.
And as long as they make a smidge of sense and aren’t totally retaded(I’m looking at you, Darth Vader, Yoda, and Starkiller) I am ok with this.

I can agree with that in a way. In my case, the first thing I thought was that she was a nice character to be added, but I was worried how she would work out in this game, since she was a background character like you said. But now that her gameplay looks great, Poison is a nice addition if I can say so, rather then to see a copy paste character from (S)SFIV. 
I consider Poison as a fresh character (who deserves a part in SF), and I hope that Capcom won’t fall back in their habit of picking SF characters they’ve been giving away since day 1. Fresh characters (R. Mika, Sodom, Alex,…) for more hype IMO, rather then seeing HERP DERP Blanka (I don’t hate him people! 
) doing his roll for the 5000th time.
Poison is SF character. FF is a part of the SF universe. She’s appeared in SF3.
Gouken is much much worse than Poison. He was just a plot device for Akuma and Ryu/Ken back story.
But she never was playable. This somehow REALLY FUCKING bothers me.
I’m not gonna discuss this anymore. Not because I am arrogant or something in a “IM RIGHT UR NOT LOL” way but I just don’t see anyone ever convincing me that Poison is a cool addition.
Gouken on the other hand has been wildly speculated about by fans. Sure his: "HEY GUYS. I WANT DEAD LOL’ return is beyond stupid, but I really love him.
Tho I might be biased. “Badass old masters” is just a achetype I really like.
