it was basically people who grew up on ff1 and ff4 to kids who had ff7 being their first ff game

I’ve watched some gameplay on YouTube and read up on the dresspheres about a year ago when I was gonna get the game. I really just wanna fuck with Last Mission Mode because I wanna know what happens afterward. And also depending on where you are in X-2 or what ending you got determines what you learn about the afterstory. That shit alone is worth admission. I’ll have to find that Wiki I found about the game and link that shit up later.

cross edge should have been a psn game, there really was no point of putting it on disk
7th saga
Game is hard as hell. I pick esuna as my first character which made it easier in the beginning but later it got really hard. For some reason I decided to get a partner in the mid 20’s and their stats beat esuna in every category. That’s when I found out the growths of every other character except the one you’re playing were ridiculously better and why 7th saga is so much harder than its other version.
I also just got into titan quest. I was into diablo 2 back in the day and decided to try this game out. I’m having fun, only lvl 15 though.
Also any kingdom under fire fans? I mean the ones that are rts like. Those were fun as hell. Nothing like getting in an engagement with mortars for support fire.

both were great, but i liked sabin for his suplex. sonic boom and shinku hadoken
So Titan Quest is a Diablo clone? I might pick that up then…
Oh ya it was edgar i feel stupid i remembered figaro castle though! That game was so great when i got it for the super nintendo lol of course i still call it FF 3. Anyway ya sabin seemed cool was just to complex for me at the time being 8 and all. I think i rocked Edgar, Shadow, Terra(i think?), and The Yeti(Umaru or something).
only downfall is no random dungeons
you will always play the same maps if you have hunting for items
which is good or bad depending how you look at it
physics engine owns my life in that game though (ex. shield bashing a peon imp and watch as he flies 30 feet into the air and ragdolls down the side of a mountain)

the only rpg thats harder is dragon quest 2, but 7th saga makes me want to break a little kids neck
yep, FF3 (well FF6) was my 1st RPG game. Sabin helped me get my transition from SF2 moves :qcf: to DBZ (super famicon) moves :l:, :r:, :l: which later hooked up my charge Supers in SFA… and my overall SNK fighter skillz. though I always wanted to keep Gen.Leo and see if there was away to play as Vargos (1st guy Sabin beests)

any body remember playing the Grandia series? I became pretty fond of the combat system and one of there magic subsystems. the 3rd’s story almost pissed me off over what looks to be missing plot. 2 and extreme are near gems b/c of length and combat system. 3 looks pretty though.

I was hoping for a FF with Grandia’s battle system…
grandia 2 was an amazing experience
however! the story was lacking and the last boss was the easiest fight i have ever had in an rpg
grandia 2 was too easy in general though a very fun game. sadly enough grandia 2’s story was probably the best one they came up with
Vagrant Story. SE never released anything better before or since, in my opinion.
Wow, I was planning on buying cross edge but then I randomly stumbled upon this thread. Now I don’t feel like it anymore. FML
SE didn’t exist when vagrant story was made but i’ll agree that it and FFT are probably their best, i’d maybe include parasite eve too
