I say give u1 juggling props and when used in a juggle damage will only be 200-250 at best, faster start up, some chip damage and for ultra 2 more damage in general.
why do you guys want the juggle thing you can already juggle using U2.

Could also just be looking to use U1 more. I would love nothing more than to see more Sham-wow on the screen.
I always hated that u1 didn’t chip but it does make sense because how much damage can a scarf do. Though I know there are alot of things in street fighter that don’t make sense like rufus’s big ass being able to flip but I do think that u1 should get couner hit damage, 505-510 would be enough.
I refuse to have U1 damage to be nerfed in sacrifice for faster startup >_< A punish ultra is suppose to do alot of damage and makes up for Rose weak damage output. Akumas U1 has a 5 frame startup and does 510 damage as a punish ultra.
Im not to excited for the HP Reflect > U1 since landing it in a real match is a pain
Looking at the changes I’d say this is exactly something they took into account, Dan and Hakan prob got some of the biggest buffs and they happened to be at the very bottom as far as Bp points. All the top point characters got nerfed the hardest, and everyone that needed buffing got buffed. The problem of course is many didn’t get buffed enough…
Theoretically it almost seems like they fixed many that were needlessly/excessively nerfed from Super (ie Rose, Fuerte, Guile…) to sorta of get an idea where the character actually stood at first and hopefully build from there. In my mind arcade play makes FAR more clear/accurate balancing data vs pure fan input, which I think is why Super came out so balanced where AE failed. Hence why im optimistic about 2012, well see what Beta has in store :).
The problem is that characters like Chun/Vega/Rose only got some of their stuff revert back from Super. So in theory, they didn’t get anything that’s significant like a lot from the cast lol. But seeing Ono saying that he will to release the patch BEFORE 2012, where seth killian said it was going to be released during fall/winter makes me think that they actually took some suggestions into consideration…let’s hope for the best
That’s not a fair comparison. Rose’s U1 is not a punish ultra in the same way that Akuma’s U1 is. Even if it starts up in 5 frames, it has a grab range and Rose’s goes across the fucking screen, lol. And Akuma’s U1 has always traditionally been super high-damage. I don’t think Rose’s U1 needs to have its damage nerfed but I would gladly trade in its high damage in order for it to be more applicable.
U2 isn’t more functional than U1 is, though. Anyone who has lots of experience against it will just block it and throw tech.
I wouldn’t mind even a 50-ish damage reduction if they just took like 5 frames off its startup.
The punish tool? How about, “the punish tool that never gets to punish”? I mean, it’s nice to have a damaging, threatening ultra with come back potential, but if you never get use it (I’m gonna say never because it actually is borderline never) and since it’s full of flaws then it’s just a waste.
I’d sacrifice some damage to have a faster start up and more versatility (HP reflect FADC). I feel like Rose can’t stay the way she is right now, she needs something.
Just want to make it clear to avoid confusion; I want the current damage as well, but if we had to pick between her current U1 state and a new faster ultra with a slight damage nerf then I’d go for the faster one.
U1 is not as good as you portray it. Sure it can do the job in certain match ups (punish Blanka balls, chicken wings etc) but outside of that, it is not so great anymore. It lacks use and is packed with flaws that doesn’t make sense.

clk is already one of her strongest move. The hitboxes are crazy good, and with 4 startup, it’s already good.

They should improve st.lp by increasing its hitbox so it could at least be a more effective way to stuff divekicks.
pretty sure he’s talking when you punish with it right and still gets blocked or punished for your right punish. (like how I was talking about it in the last page).
and no, simply throwing your hands in the air by saying “oh well deal with it at this point” is the main reason why Rose will continue to be ass. That’s not really the way to go about helping a move out.
haha that’s very true it was during ranked match with yun and reallize how weak AE U2 is. What happen is yun JUST jump in(as in attempting!) with fucking dive kick and HITS me into full bnb combo’s, I was just like wtf happend?
