what joystick is in there ? if the size of the jlf is about the same it will be easy. yeah take a pic of the inside and find the depth of the stick that is in there now. thx

Been working on a new stick design, I almost have the black one finished. hope to have it painted tomorrow. I want to make a white one and a black version. It will be called the RWX-01 SPIDER. I want to start making sticks with my own theme to them. this one is the Spider and who know what else I will come up with but I like Italian sports cars and Spider editions are always sleek. that is what I was going for with this one, a sleek clean and simple stick. I of course made the prototype for myself but if people like them I will make more. let me know what you guys think. this is the black version.

I will be opening up a thread in the trading outlet to post sticks for sale and will link it to this thread. I will explain all the details in that thread. I turned one of my older sticks into a spider stick to see how it would look and I am pretty happy with it. I will have better prints for the others, this was just my ink-jet printer, it didn’t give me that deep black I was looking for and I also think a semi gloss paper is a better bet than the matte paper I used. I was thinking about lighting up the spiders on the top and bottom and making one of the back buttons the switch. here is a cpl other shots that I didn’t post on the (check out/thread)

finally got a good picture of the spider all lit up, had to lower my shutter speed.
Love the work you’ve done. What kind of tools do you use if you don’t mind me asking? Also, is it a butt joint you use?
yeah a simple butt joint then by glueing the corner blocks in, it makes it stronger. 70 % tablesaw 15% sanding by hand 10% mitersaw 5 % drillpress. I would like to use a heaveier wood but it is hard to find around here. so I get factory glued poplar that is pretty strong. I also tried a trick out. check this, if you shalac the poplar then let that cure making sure you seal all the joints then sand smooth to hide all the joint lines. after that cures you can spray it with 2 cans of BIN (red and white can) the Shalac based primer. be far away like 2 foot in the first coats then you can move closer but you also have to be quick. there may be some raising up but that will go back to flat as it dries. takes a good 2 to 3 day to cure. then after it’s solid and all dry you can sand smooth and start laying your paint down. but it make the wood really solid, like a hard wood, at least harder that is was. hope it helps ya.
I’ll keep that in mind. I’m gonna get tools soon to start building my own whenever I need to (for now I use my dads stuff). Hopefully I can make em look half as good as yours.

found some nice Hard Maple at home depot woo hoo finally! they got the maple ive been asking for they had a section for it but never any maple. so they answered my call. Guess it’s gona be Maple cases from here on out.
Meant to ask how well you think you can handle a more porus stone as the material?

funny thing, i work with stone mostly facing(but real stone not the fake stuff). I can build spring boxes/well houses and lay stone. I’m from the sticks so things like that get pasted down. I never shaped the stone I always would just leave it as nature as possible no cutting just fitting them together. what was you thinking?

still trying to figure things out. I got 2 cases glueing and I still have to plane down my Maple. I got alot of requests for cases and only a cpl spider sticks so I may make a cpl BLANKS for sale but these first two will be RWX-01 spiders. black editions! then I will open a thread in the Trading outlet to sell them. I will post a link on here to that thread when that day comes.
The custom work was getting to me, I hated using others artwork on my sticks so I stopped. I am no longer making joysticks with ANY copywritten characters or designs printed in the artwork. not even about the sue part more about the artist moral part.I really never needed to take/use/steal images, it just made it easy on me and to draw out the whole template would be adding a custom art charge. the drawing may take longer than the joystick case lol. so that is why I took images before, by making my own designs I save myself the hassel of many things.
Feel free to add your own art- guess that is why they want -do it yourself- cases lol.
I will send a psd of the template so if you want you can design your own template.
since I will be selling more than one of the same design so I wanted to make sure all my bullets were primed and ready to fire.
the Spider stick is the first of my custom sticks, I will make a select number of them for sale then move on to a new theme. I will number each one and sign it.
I’m trying to stay away from the whole -do it yourself- cases but I still may make a couple. I don’t have a good spot to work so I can’t really pump out sticks like I want to, I would love to make 5 a month but that is impossible for me.
I will take orders but no payment- for some reason being bound to money like that makes me nervous and I mess up alot. but when I use my own money It goes smooth. I will explain all this in the other thread. I dont want to go over sales in this thread-sorry*
ADDED- the bottom dustwasher
added this to the stick only made the reg height 1/32th shorter(can’t even tell), I sanded it down about half the thickness then put four short washers ontop of the joystick plate around the screws. looks much better now!!!
