Rollie Electronics - Rollie Translucent Pushbuttons 24mm or 30mm $1.00 each

I enjoy playing with the Rollie gateless, will this damage it?

Its affordable enough that I think you can go gateless without too much worry. Years ago I was using a micro switch JLF gateless and within a couple weeks I cracked the solder on most of the switches.

You may want to reinforce the inner ring of the Rollie if you are dead set on using it gateless. That’s an interesting idea and I may see about trying it.

On topic, sort of…

With the 3 pin harness, the center one is +5v correct? What are the other two? And is the pinout the same as with an authentic Flash1?

@eczangief pretty sure the middle is 5v it is on the sparkce and looking at the picture above the the rollie looks the same as the sparkce (power pinout wise)

I know when you are testing the ohmz on the sparkce you touch the left and right pins next to the 5v. hope this helps.

Picked one up to try out since I am such a big optical stick fan. I can honestly say it works great, one thing is that the stock jlf spring is too light imo. Any suggestings for a stiffer spring?

I would try a 2 and 3 pound spring at least.

Found some on PAS site. Going to try 2 / 3. Is 4 really tight? I only need one spring obviously I just want that stick to return to neutral quickly like my happ / wico p360s.

They’re pretty cheap. Why not get all three just in case? I’ll pay you for the 4 lb if you dont like it.

Good point, just trying not to be wasteful if I can help it. I dont own any other japanese sticks.

No worries. At the very least you should get the 2lb and 3lb. If you decide to get the 4lb to try and don’t end up liking it just shoot me a PM and I will take it off your hands. Hell, I’ll even take all of the springs that you dont like if you choose to let them go.

You can purchase those springs at Focus Attack.

…or Paradise Arcade Shop.

I got mine today! Works like a charm after some trouble. The black PCB cover was not quite the best fit for the sanwa square JLF gate. I had to find the right orientation for the gate’s ‘pins’ for it to rest on the cover in the most relaxed position. If the cover bent even slightly under tension the signals would not register correctly.

Now working fine and it’s just a pleasure to use :]

Can you tell me in what store do you buy your Pcb?

Focus attack doesn’t have in Stock, I am a international costumer so for save on shipping I prefer buy all my items in the same store.

Thanks

XorXe-YaGaMi: Focus Attack is re-stocked on the Rollie Flash. You can now purchase from them or contact Rollie Electronics direct.

Thank you,

I just installed a Flash I got from focusattack and the diagonals are really spotty. I saw in the thread that older models had problems, so is there any fix for this on the newer ones?

Update: I put a stock actuator in and it was working fine. Are there any oversize actuators that will work with the flash?

Hey Ponyboy are you still selling flash kits directly?

You may order direct from Rollie Electronics or contact Focus Attack

Thank you,

Ponyboy

I recall reading somewhere here that oversized actuators are no good in an optical.
