I got mine yesterday…still didnt work. Works fine if i remove the gate…but as soon as I put it back on, it stops registering any direction. I’m gonna test it out with a few other jlfs I have to see if its just that one or all.
im getting mine tomorrow. will post results following.
Got my new Flash1 today, fits really snug now but I’m having the exact same problem which I had before. Still doesn’t register Up (the same sensors between “D3” and “Q2”) with the square gate on. Don’t have any other gates to use with my JLF
Got mine today, will take it to a friend’s to check it out. Hopefully this one works out.
Just tried the replacement on three different JLFs…did not work! Just noticed also, it does not register diagonals at all, even without the gate. The first flash would not register up with the gate on. Seems the replacement has more problems than the first.
Those of you having problems, do me a favor and take pics of your PCBs (without cover on) sitting on your JLFs so I can see how it’s lining up.
man, i hope they took my feedback into consideration because some of those ir detectors didn’t work at all with the pcb cover on or weren’t at the correct angle for the actuator to detect. i won’t know till later today but if mine doesn’t work…wtf.
Have anyone tested the springs yet??? I wanted to know which one feels like the original Sanwa Flash 1.
Ponyboy
Are you planning to sell the springs separately???
also those of you having problems let me know what kind of stick (Madcatz, Hori, Etc) you have it installed in and which PCB.
Thanks
I was talking to him about it the other day and he is considering it. He is just trying to get the Flash1 worked out first.
Got my new Flash1 and put it in my Madcatz TE RD1 with a TEKitty installed. It seems to fit nicely, but now I’m getting signal problems. It is constantly saying the stick is in “up” position and goes to neutral when I push the stick down. Diagonals seem to work for the most part, I am capable of hitting the top two rows of a numpad. Having the stick at 2 gets me neutral position, 1 gets me left, 3 right, so I’m thinking the up signal is my problem. I have tested this in both 360 and PS3 mode, and I have taken the PCB out of the JLF and tested it by itself, so I’m pretty sure it’s not an issue with the gate.
Just got the new one but still having problems with it up and left don’t work. Using hori w/ ps360. This is becoming a bothersome…
So far I’ve tried it on 2 Madcatz TEs (PS3 and Xbox), 2 Hori V3-SA, a Hori VX, a DC Agetec (all stock original pcb), and a custom using an MC Cthulhu. I’m not using the same JLF in each stick. 7 sticks - 7 different JLFs. Does not work on any.
tried mine in my hrap3sa.
one pcb
two jlf’s
all square gate.
all have problems with the DOWN direction, just like the first one i got, (edit) after all the fitment fixes i did.
tested without the gate, everything worked fine. i dont know what else i can say except a bit disappointed.
just tried the new one i received, not good. i can register left, down-left, down, down-right, and right only. Up and the up-diagonals do not register at all. tried this in my hrap vx-sa with 2 different jlf. with the gate off, all directions register.
I am currently working with Happ on the issue of the Flash. I do apologize for this. I do understand that it is bothersome especially a second time around. Please bare with me as I iron out this problem.
Thank you,
Ponyboy
yep, count me in, the sensors are still not responding to the actuator like i mentioned before.
are we sure we dont need to change the plunger too?
or is it just the positioning of the sensors?
also gotta wonder how punkpc is the only one with a working one. prototype was better or does he have a freak stick
i would like a refund please.
maybe i’ll get it in the future when the whole problem is sorted out but for now, i’ll like to get my money back.
