Yeah, those are nice. Thanks.
Yeah, can you list what microswitches fit in these.
No purple?
Thats pretty cool. Would it still feel like sanwas?
The micro-switch is very similar to the SW-68 it measures 15mm x 12mm. To me the feel is very close.
Ponyboy
I think I will have to get some of those.
Stay gold ponyboy
Just to let everyone know the Sanwa micro-switch does fit the Rollie 30mm Translucent Pushbuttons.
Thanks,
Ponyboy
I just got the Rollie 30mm in the mail today. It feels very good with the Sanwa micro-switch in there. I was also very happy with the look and quality of the button. At $2.25 I will def. be buying more.
Thanks Ponyboy
Any opinion/comparisons to other buttons you’ve tried, translucent or not? How’s the size of the plunger, is there any wobble of the plunger in the main housing, anything else?
Did you put those Rollies in a plexi? I was wondering about the fit, would any sanding be needed to make sure you don’t crack the plexi? I’ve seen people crack them with Sanwa snaps.
And how would you say the stock switches feel? If they’re better than Madcatz quality it might be worth keeping them in. I’d be curious about how they are long-term.
Damn, Toodles beat me to that last part by seconds.
I’d say the action feels a lot like a OBSN. The plunger fits great, very little wobble (maybe less than the OBSN i took the micro-switch out of). One thing I noticed is the plastic clips that hold on to the control panel are much stiffer on the Rollie compared to the OBSN. I did’nt have any Seimitsu snap in’s to compare it to. Maybe that is a concern if you are mounting it with plexi. The stock micro-switches feel slightly less responsive than the Sanwa. Hope that helps
I just added NEW color Ball-Tops and Bubble-Tops for the Rollie Joystick.
Thanks,
Ponyboy
It does help, thanks. I’d be putting these in a TE, so I’d have the switches to swap out anyway, but I’ll know to keep an eye on those clips. Do the Rollies have the little nubs at top that most people sand down?
Anyway, I’ll be making an order for some clears this weekend ponyboy, I’ll send you an email.
Just added Sanwa SW-68 Micro-Switch $1.25 ea.
Thanks,
Ponyboy
I’ll be all over these as soon as I get word that they’ll fit into plexi. I’ve got some seimitsu buttons that can’t mount in something so thick…
Just added Ball-Tops, Bat-Tops and Bubble-Tops.
Thanks,
Ponyboy
Just got in a sample transparent snap in from ponyboy. KNserts will fit in them beautifully, but you have to notch the KNsert board in the corners. I’ll see if I can notch future versions of the board myself. I will say this though; even if you dont use a KNsert, definitely get this button for LED mods. The main housing is a hair longer than a KN button, and there’s tons more room where LEDs could be put in without any fear of interfering with the operation of the button. I’ll definitely be ordering a bunch.
cool nice to know toodles. Guess this blue buttons can be very close to ps-k buttons with same or will fit seimitsu microswitches too.
