As for the weird KoF symbology. If you go into your command list and hit the “Back” button (or something like that), it should open a legend with all the meanings.

Had fun at the UVA tournament despite Smash being the most popular game (PORQUE?). I met some cool people and got some good KoF in with JP. Also, who won UMvC3?
That guy from Lynchburg Shea won. His team was pretty nasty and the mixups were retarded. It was Strider/Doom/Dorm I think. It was pretty nice.
Side note, I’ve settled on a team for KoF for now. Maxima/King/Vice.

Yeah Combo plays Max, and we all know I’m a Combo fan… I’ll check out some Juicebox videos. I’m working on getting Vice’s 1f s.A after her QCB+C. It lets you do silly combos without having to drive cancel. Which in turn, allows people to make combo videos where the Vice player activates there HD mode twice in one combo… because of sane. I don’t think I can be there Thursday sadly, as I have a meeting that night. Can anyone get together Wed night maybe?
Yeah, 1 frame anything in KoF is pretty tough. I guess holding the button down is the only way to increase your chances of landing it (does double tapping work?). I might be able to play Wednesday for an hour or two if it’s early enough.

I had a chance to play Skullgirls at JP’s house. Cerabella is insanely good… Maybe too good. High damage, many tools to close the distance, easy command throw input, and great supers. Mike Z definitely showed her some love. It was fun to say the least. No idea how the game will develop in the long run. I might get it depending on the level of interest in the community. Also it’s only $20.

In all seriousness, I don’t think she’s too strong. Grapplers are always best early on. As the game ages she’ll seem less ridiculous. Plus, keepaway is actually a valid thing in this game.
Yeah the game is legit. I really like it so far. Also, the price is $15 and not the $20 I said earlier. At that price point there is no reason not to get it if you’re into the Marvel/GG/BB mashup gameplay.
It’s definitely too early to say any character is too good or too strong. Though I’ve played enough fighting games to get a decent idea. It’s really her tools. She can double jump, command run (armor WTF), command throw (close, far, air, and air-to-air WTF), and glide into fantastic air options. Zoning is legit since characters like Peacock can hit confirm supers like Cable in MvC2. I’d say that zoning Cerabella is possible, but definitely an uphill battle while you learn the game. Needless to say, I’m attached to her and will probably play her as a main if I get the game anytime soon.
Oh almost forgot, command throws are all quarter circles WTF.
I’m bringing Skullgirls tonight. On my hard drive… if you know what I mean.
GG’s Thursday. KoF13, SF4, and Skullgirls was fun. I might pick up Skullgirls soon just so I know what I’m doing next time around. I doubt I’ll play it hardcore, but I don’t think I have to. Also, props to anyone going to Civil War 4 to be a pot monster. You’re necessary to make dreams come true.
