landed this around day 2, much easier to follow up from this position unless you’re on point with driving backwards and placing the shot backwards

also the easiest shots for me have been me just waiting a little distance back while everyone fights over the ball near the goal and just do an immediate boost dash into it for the goal
Just downloaded Rocket League. I was apprehensive at first, but this game got me hype like Fifa, lol. Just played one match, but I will most definitely mess with it more in the next few days.

Yeah there’s 3 positions on the general offensive;
•The one setting up the ball usually from the side. If possible can land the shot; The play maker.
•The one in position to land the shot after the set up.
•The back line defense that’s there to keep the ball on that side of the field or to potentially land a goal that the other two has missed. Has to weigh their options because whiffing or going for the hit but getting intercepted could mean loss of momentum or potentially a point for the other team if your other team mates can’t reach the ball in time. Positioning varies.
It’s the simplest tactic with randoms to successfully achieve. You just make sure you fill in one of those roles and make sure not to fuck up the other’s plays
*like 2 people trying to be the playmaker and end up colliding, sending each other flying and taking both of them out of the match for a bit, or fucking up a set up shot. Or 2 people trying to be the guy that makes the shot at the same time but ends up colliding or fucking up the actual shot, or worst yet someone intercepts the ball, lobs it towards your goal and gets a free point because there’s no defense.
The absolute worst case for the offensive is 3 randoms up front just gargling that nut like a electabuzz

Difficult to set up plays, difficult to make a shot, one punish and the team can get fucked.
With a actual team you can deviate however you want, just communicate so that your team knows what the plan. Can go for a “coordinated” All in/2 players on the half line, or whatever.

I just discovered this magnificent gem of a game through ps plus; didn’t even boot it up till today. This game is the bees knees and the cats pijamas and FUCK YOU this game is so much fun. I suck at it though, only had like 2 hours to try it out. I get stuck on the walls all the fucking time.

That’s what I found when I googled it.
Cross-play compatible, but comms don’t work and you can’t make parties with people on different platforms.
Though it said the devs were working on it, so here’s hoping
