So, my “Thanksgiving” event will be this Friday starting at 5pm. PM me or text me if you plan to come, so I can get a head count.
I’m thinking it will just be food (potluck style), and some games ( I have a ps3 set-up and most of the latest fighters )
and I would love to do an evo 2k12 reshowing or if there is some other hype tourney, we can watch matches from that.
Since I’m a cheap-ass, I will probably be ordering pizza or something else non-traditional and low maintenance.

What are you getting on the 360 side? Get on today’s sales? TTT2 is $25 at Walmart if you wanna get that going.
I got Sleepy Dogs and AC3 from Amazon for the 360 front, but $25 TTT2 is pretty hard to pass up, I’ll be honest.

8 is pretty much just a massive update to 7. They just added the Metro UI which can be disabled.
Waiting doesn’t matter anymore anyway cuz MS has announced that all future DirectX updates would only happen on 8.
So, as a PC gamer: 7 is already obsolete.
Back from a packed sale, they overlapped some items I already bought, slightly cheaper so I doubled up. Grabbed TTT2, anyone up to grind this weekend?
Win8 seems like a minimal upgrade if that, unless you’re on a tablet, and Metro is clearly pissing people off. But the direct upgrade is $40 and you can have it ready for future service packs.
Win 7 was a solid launch . I’ve actually heard of a lot of good things about win 8. The new UI is only really great for a touch interface. But OS wise I hear it performances outstandly as far as cpu,gpu, bus effeciency.
Won’t know til I can get my hands on it and test it myself.
Well, I guess it depends on how you define minimal: Based on what I’ve read boot times are noticeably faster, better overall energy management, and like I wrote before, all future DirectX updates are only going to 8. I consider boot time and the DirectX lockdown to be pretty significant. . .but that’s more where I’m coming from. I don’t think I’m the typical Windows user.
