In that I diddn’t make it out of pools, or win the runback, you’re right. He beat me cleanly the second time, though I made a number of execution errors and dropped at least two birthdays against him. We played in a longer set right after the second match, and I was going pretty much even with him, a little in my favor.
In that it means nothing, you’re wrong. I’ve never really had much success at majors, I usually lose to players that I feel I’m better than. It was nice to get a win against a top player, on stream, under pressure. Its nice for my confidence in other events, knowing I’ve done it before, and can do it again. If you’re saying this to keep me hungry, then thanks for the motivation.

They aren’t that bad, it’s just how hard you want to take the game. Taking it casually is pretty fun

:eek: I’d recommend [S]emulating[/S] skillfully obtaining Alpha 2 or Alpha 3 for now and seeing how you like those. 
It looks like 3rd Strike Online, Alpha 2, SSF 2 Turbo HDR, and Alpha 1 are up for download from PSN; of those, you’d recommend Alpha 2?
edit: I’ll take your advice because you are basically the only guy here who I trust to give solid advice that’s going to help me grow as a player as opposed to “oh man this’ll be funny”
