 Cool thing about this game is you can play whoever the hell you want and it works for the most part.
There are some teams that are slightly better just because of how their tag stuff flows, but that’s about it.
If you’re just starting the game, I recommend trading Bob for Paul (at least for now) just because Bryan and Paul are both pretty simple and they teach you A LOT about the game. Once you’re more comfortable with how the game works and how to play, feel free to switch Bob or whoever back in.
I would agree with, Yannick and tell you to try more basic characters but Bob is too good. As Sanford Kelly once said: “F*** it! Just pick a top-tier!”
You’re still going to have to learn the game systems with whichever team you pick, but you will reap the rewards if you stick it out with those two.
Still, I’m gonna listen to you more experienced cats and bite that big-haired bullet for now.
Also, not that I would ever play him, this is more for curiosity: What’s the good word on Eddy? I remember he was top-tier in the older Tekkens. . .that still true?
Dude, yo, don’t diss on Paul. This is a guy who is (or was) rivals with Kazuya and actually won a tournament in the canon (sorta). STRONGEST IN THE UNIVERSE. Dan’s just a loser Art Of Fighting wannabe!
Eddy/Christie have pretty much always been like mid-tier I think, but they have a bit of a notorious rep for being very noob/mash friendly and I find they are difficult to approach/react to when they are played at a higher level.
The reason why I recommend new players don’t use Eddy and Christie is because they way they play makes the player circumvent a lot of important parts of the game and they bypass a lot of important game mechanics and the player can also pick up some very bad habits. I think they’re great characters, though and they can be murder to fight if you don’t know the matchup. I would recommend them after you learn the game.
I’m gonna leave that window right there; i don’t even know how to respond to it.
Man, I can’t get over this top 8 roster for persona from SBa. 3 Akihikos? A Yukiko? Only one mitsuru? An Elizabeth? Not a single Narukami in sight? It’s like they were playing in Bizzaro-land.
Speaking of Seasons Beatings,. CAFE ID. Poor Bala, all that work he put in with Duo Lon and Chin since Evo, and he gets destroyed by good ol’ Classic Kyo play. Lacid and Mad_Kof too good.
