My true intentions were to make all you “new school players” come and gather together. In the future you guys will be playing each other a lot more. One day you guys will be the new “old school players”. Hopefully this event not only introduces you guys from across So Cal, but have further events supporting one another. I could not have a better way to end my final event.

The Rival Schools Event is full of great promise and intention, and assembling 20-some guys for this beat down is no easy feat. Small bumps in the road was unconcrete format and start time, my noob ass forgeting to recharge batteries after the other days’ session… things that didn’t change that this event was HYPE. Footage-wise on my end I was only able to cover the Wildcard vs UCLA set(It’s ok, we all only cared for the Wildcard guys anyway right?) and I know there is recording of UCI vs UCSD.

Alex, I fell short on my assistance, but I hope you can include me on your follow-up to this Rival Schools beta. It has all the heart and qualities to be a staple in our socal FGC. Congrats.

Good games, guys, nice seeing you all. This was my first tournament since January, so I was really nervous in my first match. After that I settled down a bit and started feeling really good again (although at the end I got cocky and started doing stupid stuff heh). I didn’t realize I would forget so many things, it’s gonna take more work to get up to shape than I thought. Really glad to be back, though.
Good job to the winners! UCLA will be back and better next time.
