Btw if anyone is interested and there is time I,d be willing to run Garou, HNK, KOF98/2002UM, Last Blade 2, or maybe SFEX3 as a side tourney. I can bring a TV and a modded ps2 for the import games.
I’ll be playing HDR, 3s, GG and BB for sure. Might play Sf4 if i get some time to work on it.

HNK would be madness I’d be up for it even in casuals because I’ve always wanted to play it but I still haven’t yet.

dude it would def. be nice, it’s just SoCal is much farther away than MO was :lol: I might be going back to DJ for HDR, I don’t like Honda as much in that game.

A lot of the MN guys are into Garou also, I’m farily confident that there will be some, can’t promise a tourney though as I’m still not certain on how many TVs we’ll have (the more TVs the more games, space is NOT an issue!).
Also Love do you have the pics/vid you mentioned that I can put in the first post to show off how amazing this venue is? Mine are on a crappy camera with the cleaning crew in them
What is the possibility of SC4, T6, MvC2 and KOF12, and maybe an older game like A2 or Garou? I know that’s too many games, but I want to understand the situation ahead of time.
I hope the Mystery tournament happens. Was a little frustrated that it didn’t happen at Meltdown.

Sounding like Garou will be here for sure, the only problem is is that I don’t have any of those games so it really depends on if people bring them, there is plenty of room but we still need more TVs/consoles to run stuff on the side. If we can get setups for those then hell yeah let’s get it going then but I can’t promise what I don’t have. Sounded like Hogosha and a few others were also interested in SC4, and I’m planning on picking up T6 but I personally own a 360 so I wouldn’t be buying it for PS3 for this tourney.
And on another note, it’s sounding like we have a projector so people can spectate matches without having to crowd around one small setup. If we get this I’ll probably use it like how Evo did and have one station hooked up to it and let higher profile players play on it and random matches also until top 8 then run top 8 for games on it. What do you guys think?
When do things “officially” start that day? (Or did I miss it?) Just wondering for anyone that travels the day of the event.
I can bring 2 tv’s now. 1 is 19 and the other is 20. Projector sounds awesome.
1:00PM, doors open at 11 though if people want to come early but we’ll be finishing setting the place up. I will ask that people be here by noon for registration and payment.
Just a suggestion, you should create a facebook, craigslist, and a myspace page for this. You could probably run a print ad in the local newspaper when the event comes close to happening (although I’ve never tried this). If you have some money you could probably run a 30 second local radio advertisement each day a week before the event (I wanted to try this, but they said it was $50 per advertisement, wasn’t going to have that…, but it might be cheaper in Des Moines).
I’m actually practicing Brawl for this. God help me.
