The reason why Gundam vs games ain’t released in the West because the Gundam IP isn’t accessible enough over here. Anime doesn’t air often on western television and model kits are difficult to come by. Creating that kind of market in the west is difficult. This game was born out of making Gundam VS style game that appeals to the west.
Also, mentions that the Gundam VS devs are aiding with development.
The whole thing is ass backwards though. They won’t bring Gundam VS to the states because Gundam isn’t big here. Fine, whatever. But then they make a new game that plays like a worse version of Gundam VS. What they SHOULD do is make RI play MORE like GVS so that they could get people into how the game plays and then it wouldn’t matter if it was Gundam because people will buy the game for how it plays, which people already do anyways.
Creating that kind of market is difficult but they aren’t even trying and refuse to ever try. They could do it if they thought it through but they’re being dumb about it.
PC port wasn’t really optimized as it should of been and even though they fixed the f2p model, it was too late. Don’t think they advertised this game either… oh well.
Wanted this to do well since it was a better option than picking up that gundam game.
I saw the game advertised a grand total of two times: once on some random steam thing whenever you exit a game and when the game was officially released. What with all the problems it had that people TOLD THEM TIME AND TIME AGAIN…it was only a matter of time.
Yeah there was no hype or advertising for it at all, game was fun for a few days anyway, and they didn’t seem the smartest on how to make money with micro transactions and keep their players happy. lol
I saw like, a couple of in-Steam ads about it. Virtually nothing on other gaming sites.
Someone at Bamco must’ve gotten their asses whipped after this mess.
