When I was a LOT younger, about 85% of the info I’d get about comics was from this magazine. Granted, I stopped reading over a decade ago, but in its early years, it was a fun publication. I have noticed the mag isn’t nearly as big as its old size. Most of it was the price guide, but that was 75% of why I picked it up. I used to enjoy the art people would include on the envelopes they would send in. Also, the exclusive trading cards and ash cans.
That really sucks for the people who lost their jobs, but Wizard wasn’t a good magazine. I think it did more to hurt fandom than to help it. I am not gonna miss something that was designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
