I think I know why they are getting away with punches and guns in this series. I blame the movies. The movies are responsible for so much of the animation and I guess since every little kid has seen them that guns and punches landing when thrown doesn’t seem all that bad now.

So wheres the black guy Tombstone was friends with growing up in the 90s cartoon? I guess the story has been retconned somewhat. I was skeptical of the new cartoon at first, but the two episodes I saw yesterday were impressive. Tombstone seems to be much more powerful than he was in the 90s
Ya I know. The show is growing on me also. The only problem I have is Spidey taking alot of punishment with no bruises. I’m thinking it’s Wolverine in that costume :wonder:. Also in that Shocker episode he was getting rocked left and right by his blasts. Doesnt he have spider sense

Spider sense seems to be relatively slow.
Like it activates for football tackles and him swinging towards a truck.

Robbie and Tombstone were “friends” in the comics as well. Some people are moaning about Spidey getting rocked in 4 seconds by Tombstone but they’ve already forgotten some things: 1. Peter has only been Spider-Man for 4 months. He’s still new at this. 2. Tombstone has been at his racket for a while. Man is skilled and smart. Man, Tombstone should be in a Capcom fighter.
I still don’t think Tombstone is Big Man. Remember what he said? “I have many names. My favorite is ‘Tombstone.’” And he also said “The Big man, whoever he is, has nothing against heroes.” Someone else is pulling the strings here.
And I know Million can’t wait to see Gwen in a dress at the formal. :woot:

As for Spidey’s Spider-Sense, well this is something many tend not to use at every danger moment in movies and cartoons. Why, I do not know.
I’m guessing they may not be able to fire the guns in this series as I’ve yet to see one get fired. Ah, well. We get punches and awesome fights so I’m cool with that. In the '90s STAS, we got crappy fights and lasers.
I think it’s because the Spidey-sense is kind of broken. Alerting him when there’s danger allows him to always be on guard when in a fight. Not being able to see a water balloon hitting you is pretty much the same as not being able to see a punch coming at you as well. At least, that’s what I think.

In short Spider-Man Unlimited is Venom followed by Spidey to an alternate Earth in which humans are bottom tier and man-beasts aka Bloody Roar in beast form rule the land. At a space shuttle launch Venom flees to it and Spidey follows. JJ’s son is on it. They launch weird things happen and they dissapear. JJ blames Spidey. Spidey is with MJ before this happens and promises to bring back JJ’s son. Venom and Carnage are buffed up. I mean Venom is a bit smaller than Hulk.
Spidey gets super upgrades.
-Suit is made of nano machines(think the Venom suit but from a watch).
-Ability to turn invisible
-Switch to the OG suit and dark suit(stealth) and Venom suit(old favorite?).
-Project images(used in teh fight against Kraven because Krav learned Spidey is Peter).
Venom and Carnage are like actual spiders(have mass amounts of eggs).
Venom and Eddie both die if separated. Spidey and JJ’s son did a little team up action. same with Venom. Spidey did have a chance to go back to MJ and his Earth but decided against it wanting to liberate alternate Earth.
