We’re living sad times . Disney must have been dreaming about this for a while, to get their hands on the Marvel universe concept.
Perhaps this new game will be as amusing as the LEGO ones, but all in all, Disney characters interacting with Xmen, Thor, avengers, etc is beyond stupid.
Next we’ll have Nemo the fish, Goofy , some chipmunk pals along with Spiderman , Wolverine and Silver Surfer fighting against Cruella, the wicked Witch from Snow white, Galactus, Dr Doom and a pack of skrulls.
How to ruin a franchise by turning everything into a joke, for the sake of making a buck .
Next, some elements from the recently acquired Star Wars franchise thrown in the mix, you can count on that one day. Mickey and Luke Sky Walker teaming up, just that. Where can I puke?
The actual CEO of Marvel, Avi Arad, is just a sellout, he shouldn’t have let Disney buy anything. It’s not like Marvel was being ignored by upset fans refusing to buy any Marvel branded product anymore, leaving the company in a difficult position close to bankruptcy… far from it.
The amount of assets Disney owns is actually kind of sickening. Companies shouldn’t be allowed to get that big. Still not Comcast big but they are working on it.
Disney owns in entirety:
ABC
ESPN
A&E
Lucasarts (in it’s entirety. Not JUST Star Wars. Indiana Jones is owned in part by Viacom and Disney now. Industrial Light and Magic)
The Muppets
Pixar
TWDC India (a name you wont recogize but they own Ignition Software who published several games you might know such as King of Fighter 12 and Samurai Shodown Anthology.)
Marvel (including all film, comics, and toy lines.)
And at least partially owns:
FastClick
Photobucket
GoPro
and several other companies.
Seeing as Disney owns A&E, Lucasarts, ESPN, Pixar, and Marvel perhaps we could see a game that ties together all of these assets into one title:
Duck Dynasty
The X Games
Toy Story
Star Wars
The Avengers
Muppet Babies
Secret of Monkey Island
and Dancing with the Stars
