hehe, I’ve seen you on GGPO for 3s. I can bring that if more people are interested in playing 3s. I also have melty and GG except I don’t play GG at all and only tried it to get better acquainted with those types of games for Blazblue.
I only have my laptop, though. I don’t wanna deal with laggy tvs…
Anyways, what’s the interest for 3s or melty (gahaha) If I were to bring my lappy?
I’m always down for 3S if you bring it. Always be my game. SFIV is a close second for right now. Viper is too hot (even if most of the rest of the game is boring for me LOL). I pretty much only watch Viper match videos. Akuma is fun to watch too when he isn’t in a fireball war. SFIV has a lot of fixing that needs to happen in the game mechanics. Certain basic aspects of SF are missing in IV and it generally needs ironing out. It’s definitely the best first version of a SF game though and overall I really like the game. Nothing like a good old poking and spacing fighting game.

k, cool, that probably means two people so far. I also just saw some videos of that doujin game Akatsuki so I’m gonna download that if anyone wants to try it. Pretty cool that it has parrying that whiffs.
If I can’t consistently reaction-punish a whiffed jab, then it’s too much lag. But I don’t take SF4 seriously, so I probably won’t complain. But all you people saying you’re trying to get good at SF4, I’m surprised you all are tolerating this. But maybe you all play too much online, and on laggy TVs, to tell the difference?

Yeah the bigger issue is getting a place that we can all meet at consistently to play. If we’re worried about how laggy the TV’s are than we just sit at our houses and nothing gets done. Especially during the summer time people don’t have a lot to do on the weekends and in NY and Cali they still use that time to play in arcades while we just sit at our houses waiting for the weekend. That’s the way the community has been for a while and I think it can change with the right place and timing. Like I said before…I’m looking into getting the Asus Evo monitors so that shouldn’t be a problem.
We’re allowed to bring our own sticks so I don’t see what the problem would be with bringing a monitor as long as you explain your situation when you come in the door. Just let them know that you don’t like laggy TV’s and they should understand. :lol: I might call just to make sure but it shouldn’t be a big deal considering the TV you’re bringing probably isn’t much more than 20 inches. It’s not like the place is really that big any ways so if you do bring a TV you’ll probably have to find a small area next to a computer or just place it on the floor next to the HDTV that no one uses.
I hate lag, but what can u do? It does mess ur timing up A LOT.
HaHa, well I have been lately jus’ cause SF4 is…urg! Plus, 3s will help me overall. My problem is that everyone else is gdlk and I get my ass handed to me on a repeated basis. But even with that, I’d still much rather play that than WIN in SF4…

Those TV’s are hella-laggy. I consistently miss time Headbutt->Ultra with Rog. I am not a fan of those TV’s. But the 360 TV( against the back wall, facing the door) is the lesser of the three evils.
Even if we can bring our own TV’s, where are you going to put them at? There is no room as it is and the PC guys will just complain if we start taking to much space.
Also, does anyone coming today, have 3s for the xbox?

So, here’s the deal for me. I will bring my laptop tomorrow, which has 3s, Melty Blood, and some old ass version of GG on it. I think it’s Reload, lol.
If people have problems with playing 3s on my lappy I can just bring a ps2 copy, but I doubt there are ps2s there, and even if a ps3 would play it. It would lag to no end…
I think a laptop would be good, though, since people have 360 and ps3 sticks. So, that’s what I’ma bring.

I can’t find my Xbox copy of 3S right now but I don’t know why you’d wanna play it…especially if you’re talking about the emulated 360 version with the vertical scrolling issues. I prefer to play the PS2 or PC version if anything.
I wouldn’t mind playing VF5 actually but not sure if anyone else coming even plays the game. I kinda just threw the game off to the side once I realized there was going to be no VF5R console release. Always been a big VF fan but it’s hard to like the game when no one else really does.
I will bring my 3s for xbox360 just in case. Can we get a list of ppl actually going today? i dont wanna go if not alot of ppl are going.
