yes… it would make sense if everyone who were watching at the tournament that day were to pay the 5 dollar to join the limited space tournament…
playing 2 dominate players losing… maybe 2 dollars… better than paying 5 dollars in tournament mode and then lose 2 more dollars each game… right? and then not get to play until the tournament is over…

i hope that “mentality” made some sense…

If people are crying over $10 total and not playing again they’re not the same players you think are going to plug money into a cabinet in the long run. There are players who show up to Lovegety and watch casuals go on for hours without putting in a dollar. Casual and tournaments aren’t discouraging players, their own shitty self confidence are what discourages them. If they want to play the computer they can show up Sunday - Thursday when barely anyone is around and get their practice in. Otherwise they’re going to run into at least some average players and likely a few powerhouse players.

Tournaments maximize exposure to a variety of characters and opponents. They’re integral to creating a consistent player base looking to improve and move up the chain. Relegating players to casual and forcing them to dethrone one or possibly two dominant players (and there’s always a couple) only serves to discourage the weak players that the manager is looking to pull in.

B - Don’t have tournament, play the 50 win player and think the game is broken

I’m saying:
A - Have tournament, not every one will join due to the 5 dollar and limited spot
feel that the game is broken anyway the next day after the tournament
B - Don’t have tournament, play the 50 win player and think the game is broken (at least the coin stack goes fast and you get to try the game out)

this should be my last post in regard to this topic, yes… people who anticipated the game will pay 10 bucks for it sure, but people who haven’t even tried it (specifically aiming this at SF4 first tournament on the first weekend), won’t spend the 10 bucks for sure… why would they even try knowing that people who joined the tournment knew about the tournament and were training

Gerjay; you might as well come out and say it. Despite Andy’s prowess he thinks like a scrub. Not only does he think like a scrub he’s under the belief that the everyone thinks that way.

It amazes me that people still think it’s the scrubs that keep arcades afloat rather than the steady competitive regulars who are there every week dropping money to get better.

Yeah, the manager had Cammy unlocked for a weekend (the same weekend Eddie Lee came to the tourney - he used Cammy). But the manager “undid” the code in order to take her out because people were complaining how hella broken she is.

Probably the same reason why he won’t put in the Seth and Gouken codes.
