Jeremy: Hey are you serious??? Play for rentals??? Wow, I wanna do that, but you guys can have my winnings. lol. Whats ups with all these challenge thingys going on… Jose was telling that he went to this Hollywood video down the street from him to see if they had the AE strat guide and the guy behind the counter started talking shit. He said some shit along the lines of “If your so good, then why would you want the guide” and get this… “Me and my homie round up everyone in the moval/riverside with ease!!!” God damn… it was just funny too me cuz that guy doesn;t know shit. Jose and Negrodamus aka Quintton challenged them right there in the store, but the manager(forgot to mention he was one of the guys talking shit) said he didn’t want to set it right there cuz customs might leave a bad messege or something in there seggestion box. hah.
Brandon: Pentland is officially over cuz of:
-lack of interest
-people saying they’ll come then never show up
-people willing to bring stuff
-rides
If its a spur of the moment thing with me and videogames. Im usually down to play like RIGHT then when someone asks me. But after an hour or so passes im like meh, wuteva.
Your right…its flaky.
I’ll start stickin to it again. I kinda been wantin to play lately.
I was there around Saturday night, and my friends also showed up.
The employees just gave up and gave the rentals away. At least it was the only place that had a decent game out to play. Damn game places and their demos.
There’s some new people down here at UCR that are actually decent if it weren’t for the shitty sticks at the Commons. And since school just resumed, I’m sure people are willing to come down to Pentland as long as shit gets setup properly. I only live like a block away and I have my 13 inch TV + usual console shit and I’m getting another TV soon, so the setups shouldn’t be that much of a problem. And you have Jesse’s place, as well as Seb and maybe David’s place as well, and they’re all pretty close to UCR.
tony: yeah it was play for rentals, but it wasn’t that great because it’s just one per customer. But you get as many tries as you want, even though in this case you only need one try.
alfred: Oh yeah I did meet your friend andy on saturday, met him long time ago at that laser tag place when we played ultracade super turbo also. He’s good in ST.
albert: i’ll be waiting for more Pigadotinel in the future.
reasons…
1}bill lives there
2}i practically live there
3)plenty of alcohol
4)always someone willing to smoke weed with david
5)random texas hold-em tournaments
6)boobs
7)oliver the crazy dog
8)closer for EVERYBODY
brendon: if we do throw a tourny at jesse’s/bill’s (with their permission of course)…fitting 20-30 people in an apartment is like a sausage party…it ain’t gonna happen. pentland is still gonna go down november.
bill: fukk bagnus, whenever me and you play, we get the most random wins/losses.
david: doesn’t matter how many times u beat me with a-are…i almost ocv’d u with dan batchface.
matt: how is that soul calibur stick again?..does it click a lot? what would u rate it out of 10? i’m thinking of buying it.
walter: where’d u get ur ps2–>dc converter? since ur stick is collecting dust, wanna let me borrow it if i cop my new japanese stick?
jesse: ep #5 lemme borrow that shazzle after you watch it.
oh yeah, whoever is still interested, y’all should get ur passports next month or earlier to get ready for japan.
I like it. The stick itself clicks, but that helps when I’m trying to find the diagonals. Finding diagonals shouldn’t be a problem if you put it on a steady surface, and even then, you might be able to rock that shit in your lap. I think the buttons that are used in most Japanese arcades are slightly different than the ones on my Soul Calibur 2 stick, which do not “click” when you press them. They make more of a “tap” sound. It works great though, I’d give it 8/10. If you buy one, it might take a little while to break the stick in and get used to DP motions and shit.
I have a Tekken 4 Japanase Hori stick ( for Tekken ), and Its not that great. It clicks a lot and the diagonals are a bitch. Its ok for some fighters, but for CvS2 you can forget about doing good with it. I don’t know how the hell can anyone pull of a A-Sakura or A-Bison with these sticks. The buttons are awesome though, you can push all buttons with your palm easily.
Closest is either one of our apartments whenever they want to meet up for some gaming sessions. If that’s not your thing yet, next closest is probably PSM up in San Bernardino. It’s only a 10-15 minute drive from UCR anyway and they have dope sticks plus dope prices plus dope illegal merchandise.
BTW, did I play you at the Commons yet? I’m just a random Flip scrub that uses MSP and other Magneto-type teams trying to imitate Soo or taiji and fail due to crappy sticks…
