i’m sorry kirk but anyone that pays 900$ for a used overpriced alienware laptop is a complete moron. alienware is marked up like by atleast 200% and it makes no sense that they have a really mediocre dual core cpu on a motherboard w/ ddr3. good luck finding the most gullible person on the planet.
Challenge: find me something with the same exact specs for $200 cheaper and with the same form factor and I’ll pay you $20. We’re talking to the tee, up to battery life. Show me a laptop with a comparable GPU that will get 6-7 hours on switchable graphics. I don’t think you can, but you got money waiting for you if you can.

first of all, that shit is used so give me the original price you payed. it’s common knowledge that alienware is super overpriced, i can build the same shit for half the money. so don’t act like you know anything about pc’s.
nothing about that laptop is great, it’s outdated and the resolution is total ass. who plays pc games on an 11 inch screen? NO ONE. your processor is total ass, that dual core is an old socket so if you want to talk upgrades… you can upgrade your gpu all you want but you’ll still be bottlenecked by a piece of shit cpu because you can’t upgrade it.
but you know what the greatest thing about this is? i just looked it up and you can go buy your same laptop NEW for cheaper than you’re trying to sell it for. way to fucking fail horribly, anyone with a brain is going to realize your selling something used for more than you can get it new.
i wouldn’t buy this but it’s specs are similar to yours except it has a processor that would shit all over the one you have. also cheaper. and i just picked the first laptop i saw btw, there are TONS way better than a gimmicky alienware

Whitebook kits don’t even come close to costing that much, and custom laptops don’t even start at under $1500. Tell me you know what whitebooks are. You can build a cheaper box, no doubt about it. But the same parts in a small laptop with an 11" screen, custom built, for half that? Nooooooooo way.

Who plays PC games on an 11" screen? Me. It also has an HDMI out so I can hook it up to my 37" Sony XBR and I can play any DX10 game at close to or at High settings no problem. I’m not saying I play games at that resolution the majority of the time, but the 11" affords me the portability and power without having to overspend on a 15" or 17" rig.

Processor is ass? Yes. For a full-on gaming PC. But what games nowadays are CPU dependent? Other than maybe GTAIV and some really big MMO’s out there, I don’t really play any CPU dependent games. And despite it not clocking at acceptable rates like 2.8 and up, why the fuck am I going to use a processor that fast anyway? I don’t do alot of video editing and streaming. I might be bottlenecked power-wise, but I have a CULV that affords me 6-7 hours on battery and it’s a dual core so I don’t miss out on multitasking. Besides, clock speed is such a marketing ploy, not as bad as even core count, but still a big marketing ploy. Most games are GPU dependent, so that allows my laptop to stay at ULV while keeping dual core functionality (64-bit computing).

So after I explained all that shit, does the laptop you bring up match up? In power, sure. But it doesn’t afford the battery life option, portability, and gaming prowess. That Toshiba’s 330M is shit, compare the stats on the GPU. That processor might be a quad core, but it’s not ULV so it sucks this shit out of battery and it’s not even comparable to the 2nd revision of the m11x’s which have ULV i7/i5 quad-cores. That Toshiba also has Optimus, so it force feeds the 330M to you at all times, unlike my m11x where I can keep the Intel GMA card running at all times until I game because even that integrated card can do HD video. I’ll give the Toshiba credit for eSATA and an optical drive, but the future is USB 3.0 and I have Steam. And that shit is 16", fuck that. I wanted something smaller, the m11x gave it to me.
Sooooooooooooo, yeah. Alienware likes to swing their dicks in peoples’ faces and shine bright lights. But they actually hit it great with this laptop. It just sucks that I have to let it go. And yes, all ranges of IQ levels love this laptop. It’s just a matter of seeing through all of Alienware’s past bullshit and finding that they actually came out with a great laptop. I don’t think I owe you $20 quite yet. EDIT: dsinnie did so much better, ha! And original price was $1200+ at MSRP.
