Revisions rejected by the community

I believe people didn’t like it since they felt that it was a step back from HF.

it’s always been rejected. It’s a slow piece of shit. It’s sad that the SNES port is better SOLELY because of the speed options.

That said, to add to that: A lot of people still reject HF and ST as they play Champion Edition and a lot still reject Super Turbo as they play HF… And by “a lot”, I’m guessing in the hundreds at the very best.

Vanilla MK3 and everything between UMK3 and MK9 were rejected as well.

Soul Calibur 3 comes to mind as well.

Sadly this is how the masses think. They don’t even have their own experience and opinions about games. All they can do is to parrot what people around them think. LOL

DOA4 in its entirety. Only reason that was at EVO and WCG was because of money.

DOA 3 US version, mostly because 3.1 is better.

I always thought the “community” rejected all things DoA in general?

Only after the travesty that was 4.

Nah, I specifically remember the hate on DoA2. Why? Because it was 2k3 when I first joined this site… and I was like, "Yeah, I play ST, MvC2, and DoA2"
And I got flamed… FUCKING HARD over the DoA2 shit… It was one of 3 fighters I had on PS2 (SC2 and TTT were the others) and when I mentioned I liked it more than them… OMG…

And truthfully… Just take Leon and Bayman and mash the reversal… that’s all you needed to do.

He’s talking about actual DOA players, people who know the games and know what to hate on, not people from the outside who can’t say anything about the game other than boobs.

I still dislike SFxT on a fundamental “fuck gems” level but my resolve is waning.

Other revisions rejected: HD Remix, because Sirlin had the audacity to defend against the unwarranted criticisms of it.

What HDR really needed is just a few more patches, and an official arcade version. Too bad Capcom didn’t wanna do both because why bother when they have that new shiny SF4 to promote?

Agreed 100%.

That…
makes sense.

Look at what we have here, 'thought I was the only SF fan on Earth to have never played SFxT. O’course, the very existence of that game is an assault to my honor, for reasons I’d rather not go in to.

And fans kept asking for shit with SFIV and no matter how ridiculous they were, Capcom gave it to them. If you’re a fan of the new SF, Capcom should be the greatest VG company in the world, to you.

And Marvel, well I just plain don’t like MVC3. I’ve guess I’ve “rejected” this entire gen. TTT2 (3D just isn’t my thing, but the game is still damn fun to play), KOFXIII, and AH3 are about the only games I’ve enjoyed this time around. Maybe next gen…

And the same guys probably rarely play AE2012 nowadays unless there’s a big tourney coming up. Think it’s fair to say that AE gets a lot of complains but people still put in a lot more effort into it than they did for AE2012. They’re almost certainly going to be spending less time in the new SF4 version than they did for AE2012.

Every time that i see d3v and mixah saying that they like sfxt i feel sad.
Where are the times when a turd like sfxt was simply ignored, man, at this rate i will start hearing fools saying how awesome is CFE.

The only good thing about SFxT is the mod community behind it. They do a lot of good stuff.

You’ve still never once said whats bad about SFXT

That’s just the internet peanut gallery as usual. I happen to actually know non DOA players who liked DOA.

Because SFxT 2013 is, on a fundamental level, better now than AE2012.

  • Chain combos
  • Alpha counters
  • Anti-airs being bad outside of some normals.
  • Aerial counter hits into full combos making air-to-airs very risky yet the only way for some characters to deter jump-ins.
  • Crossups that put opponent in front of you and vice versa.

The revision is better but the engine is still a mess.

-Are generally the least damaging and unsafe option

-How are Aplpha Counters a problem? Their strong but no ont he level of A2 ACs, they can be baited and only a handful of them are really good

-If you think Anti Airs are weak you suck at the game extremely hard, anti airs have massive reward and are pretty good outside of a few exceptions. The feeling I get when I anti air with a step kick is the best. Seriously I actualyl think they went a bit too far on some AAs

-Ariel counter hits just make it so you can’t be sloppy with A2A, and characters with weak A2A usually have a strong grounded AA option

-Very very very few and this is in a ton of games, it is stupid I can’t front though

Visually and music wise the game sucks dick

Actually for the OG MK players like myself it’s all about MK and MKII (maybe MKII Challenger), a little bit of UMK3. Everything else besides those MK mentions were pretty much rejected. SFII The World Warrior, Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting, and the original SF were the games, everything else SF related was rejected until the year 2000 or 2001.
