I’ve played SF since WW came out, but haven’t played in about 2 years, and I’m a little rusty. But after learning about SF4 and Super Turbo’s HD Remix, I decided to give it another go!
Which is the best version of Super Turbo to play on? The SF Collection for the PSX or Capcom’s GH2 for the PS2?
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but check out the “Must Have Fighting Game” thread in the Fighting Games Discussion section. I’m sure it’s listed in there.
I have 3 versions of the game. AE, CCC2 and the ps1 version.
Yup AE kinda sucks since it’s so messed up. I mean having to know stuff like pressing start to get those hidden charges (i thought that my chun-li super execution was whack but…)… Claws screwed up (charge) down up then kick really pissed me off.
CCC2 felt a little flimsy. But i guess it’s ok since it is still ST. Oh i don’t know if that 4 frame input lag can be noticed visually. Maybe input-wise some executions will feel different like those links to supers. Oh and you get Sirlin’s guide on DVD and not youtube!!!
Before reading this please note that my PSX is quite old and skips frequently. Now i am surprised that the ps1 version is that highly praised. I have this game and the worst thing about it is that it kinda lags when something is loading with in a match. An example would be boxer having a bar then cancelling into a super, before the super comes out there is a a 1 second pause. Well it must have something to do with the old lens.
I think you’re right about the no PS3 to DC adapter, but even PS2 to DC or PSX to DC adapters that work with most/all 3rd party sticks are difficult to find. This is one of the reasons the DC version is no longer used at Evo.
