well i didnt compete in the big tournament, but i made up for by winning the 8 person tourny, hehe. I had some crazy matches, but they were fun

I have this game, but have not been playing it that much, GGPO is more my speed. As a counter to that, the tourney vids made me want to start picking up the game, looked hella fun. All the Melee vids are so fucking boring to watch, these were quite entertaining.
Though it’s obvious that a few stages/items will probably get banned, I really hope a fair share can be kept in, along with final smash’s. Makes the game look like it’s supposed to be played to me. With my scrubtacular theory fighting while watching those matches, I really liked how some of the items/smashs changed the gameplay up.
I might actually give this game a shot. If I don’t please post a few of these tourney vids from time to time, good shit.

Sorry for missing, hope I didn’t cause too many problems, I know there were a few people willing to fill my place anywho.
I fell asleep right after work had my alarm set for this but just couldn’t get up, I woke up and had to work again.
If these tournaments happen every week, with the results that have been posted and some recording of videos, that’s some hefty stuff to analyze for defining the ruleset for Evo.

Mario Bros with lag is a big no no.
Having to dodge all the shells and crabs (when thrown are unblockable mind you) can get really hard online. It an interesting stage because the way you fight your opponent drastically changes, but online, once you get pinned, your usually done…
Is it possible to spot dodge the shells? And if dodging/etc is only hard online, its not good motivation to ban it for live.
