Thats why I love championship as opposed to ranked. Although playing ranked got me better with some of my worst matchups. If I picked first, it was damn near assured I would be facing blanka, Honda, Sagat, boxer. The competition is so bad in ranked now its not even worth going into.
I know people are pissed when I beat them on Dan, because I can’t actually pull off any combos, so I end up winning almost entirely through wakeup games, psychic Shoryukens, Ultra punishes, and Saikyo Knee poking
Its not as if Dan really has an arsenal of combos to begin with, one I (attempt at least, on the net I cant land it near as much as training) use when I have bars available on cross up j.mk > cr.mk > hp gado >FADC > HP or MP >HK Danku.
As long as you can squeeze in some crossup HP>HK Dankus, punish with cr.HP >HK dankus (A little extra damage) and play disciplined, you should be ok.
#1 reason when I lose matches is falling into an undisciplined rut and make stupid mistakes, sometimes many right in a row.
Again, I cannot stress playing disciplined enough it keeps your opponent from executing their flashy combos. Then when you beat them they rage mail you saying you have a shitty technique, because i tick threw them to death, blocked everything they did, dan kneed their face on wake up all game, and didnt bust out some pretty 15 hit combo.
If something works, do it over and over and over again until they learn. Your Dan, don’t pass up an opportunity to lay the hurt on them with something that is working. No doubt you will probably get a message that says “CHEAP”.
Hell most of the time I can call it mid way through the match if im going to get a hate mail. I sit their just thinking “shit i just kneed this gouken player 4 times in a row on wake up, then mixed it up and threw him the 5th knee again on the 6th”
2nd time I played this guy tonight rage quit twice, somehow he got where he is spamming lariats for 75 percent of the match. Im going to send this to the wall of shame.

Whats funny is I only use Dan when bored or in a need of a change for a bit from Honda. But I always get nice good reponses. Usually like "holy sh1t a Dan " or " lol Im not even mad I lost to that ultra 
" of my personal favorite " I guess thats what I get for underestimating Dan " .
Seems like I get nice reponses if I win or lose unlike when im Honda and 90+% is negative from me winning.
I love winning a dan battle against anyone with more then 10,000 GP on Championship in the Finals or Semi’s against an Akuma or Sagat. Nothings better!
From a fuerte player. I was spamming dan kick to high heaven on him, and was like psychic with my mixups afterward. it ended in a bad day for him. Also to all fuerte players if someone is spamming dan kicks on you, dont try ultr’aing them, he wasted everyone he had thinking it would connect.
I main Vega and consistently utilize him in ranked and championship matches but when I want to just relax and take the game less serious I pick Dan in player matches. I tend to hit and run and taunt and I would change taunts for each round making me burst out laughing. Luckily, I’ve played numerous players that actually took the game less serious when I picked Dan and started to do a bunch of taunting and repetitive moves and taunting right in front of each character’s face.
I’ve also played individuals who took the match-up serious while I would just taunt away and end up taking the win because they simply think I’ll continue Dan’s shenanigans throughout the whole match.
Dan is great lol
What annoys me most, is that I win more matches online with Dan rather than my main Sakura. Needless to say its rewarding but, damn. I really don’t get compliments. Just a thumbs up and they leave.

I got a lot of disconnets lately… but maybe loosin to Dan with a perfect, getting taunted all over isn’t that fun either… but who cares, there are a lot of people who can take a good Saikyo beatin.

I’ve gotten taken out by Dan on several occasions.
They get the usual Good Game.
but if they taunted, I’ll taunt along with them the whole time.
That’s not a good strategy lol
I almost always get compliments whether I lose badly or crushed them. Oddly enough I get more hatemail when they barely win then when I win even if it’s spamming lk danku lol.
I hate this the most, the “excuse” mail. Ive gotten countless “my little brother was playing” or “I was on the phone” etc. etc.
I mean what makes people think that I care, I can barely remember the gamer tag of someone I played 2 matches ago, Its not Like im writing a list and posting on the internet LOL “insert gamertag here” lost to Dan he sucks! Regardless, I don’t believe them anyway, so their was no point to their message.
Well, the guy was obviously a hacker. This was on the PC version, and I can’t believe that this guy got where he was in just over a week at most at the level he was playing at. I mean, the Akuma vs. Dan matchup is pretty awful, but he got absolutely destroyed two rounds in a row.
