Makes me sad there are bad sport Sakuras out there 
Today my Dan beat a 3000+ bp Guile player. He promptly mailed me:

Iām still not sure what the hell he meant. 
Seems to be saying you donāt have a life, which is ironic coming from someone who seems to invest a lot of his time in a game 
He might be offering you his girlfriend in exchange of some Saikyo lessons, though.

I finally started on my road to Saikyo last night after a non SF playing workmate challenged me to start maining as Dan. Itās a change from Ryu, and certainly a lot more challenging. I played for two hours, managed to pick up a couple of wins. One against a guy who kept spamming specials as Juri. I lucked an early win, then kept running him close but losing, eventually I bottled and dominated him as Ryu, at which point he left me alone. Had a good match, which I lost in 3/5 against a Sakura, who sent me a friend request afterwards and had an epic 5 rounder, which I lost with a poorly timed jump in round 5. I sent him a compliment for such a good game, his response was "youāre good I explained why Iād started maining as Dan, and weāve made friends and agreed to have matches again. Itās so hard, but so satisfying when you finally get the win. I had an Abel RG on me previously as well. I think I played as Sakura. First round was close, second round was quite laggy, but I won with more ease than the first then in the third I was on for a perfect when the connection dropped, which felt good.
I must say i LOLāed at that.
Seriously so far iāve never got any hating messages, on victory or defeat when i get a message i only get compliments, but in general i get no messages at all. The community here in my country is short though, i donāt have a great variety of players to play with.
I almost beat a 2000+ point DeeJay this evening. Went to the fifth round. He stepped it up seriously when it looked like he could lose to a Dan with less than 1/10th of his points. Iāve sent plenty of messages after close fights complimenting then, win or lose. Most people reply with surprise at how good my Dan seems to be (which it isnāt right now)
someone came up to me this weekend and told me to stop trolling tournaments.
Ha. Or what? Let me guess: heād throw lots of hadoukens! No, heād wait until you jumped, and then shoryuken-FADC-you! No, heāll keep spamming blanka balls until you were somehow defeated!

Iāve actually gotten a surprising amount of positive messages playing with Dan. Usually along the lines of āGGā or āNice Dan!ā. Though of course I did get a of Ken player who called me a scrub for throwing him every time he did a random DP, and a Ryu who had a hissy fit in game chat when I decided to spend the majority of the second round taunting and running away. So ya 90% of the time Iām getting complimented. Awesome.
I think the majority of people who arenāt douchebags will happily compliment a nice Dan (āniceā does not necessarily mean āsuper special awesomeā :P) if you send a friendly message to them, some will do it first, just love it when I come across a genuinely nice player 
Sadly this is the Internet, there will always be e-thugs and whatnot ready to rage at a secondās notice, the more you play the greater chance of coming across one of them

And then I just had one guy choose Ken and go Flowchart on me, so after I beat him, he chose Dan, claiming he would show me what skill is; I picked ken and beat him with 4 SRKs and running until the time was up.

I usually get nice responses, even if I joke. Some 2000pp/bp ryu dropped at the vs screen after seeing my pp/bp with my Dan account tho =D
I played LeaperKahn in a Dan mirror match and it devolved to taunting. He won but he sent the messageā¦I couldnāt handle your mindgamesā¦you must teach me your ways.
Most people who are actually good that lose are IMHO too ashamed to respond. I just beat an A ranked abel with 17000bp, 4500pp in a 2 round shutout and messaged āBEHOLD THE GLORY OF SAIKYO.ā No response but god my gf is laughing. She loves Danā¦sheās really my inspiration to pursue the saikyo path. She says I get way happier when I play Dan.

I usually get something along the lines of ānice danā. An excellent Rose player that beat me said my Dan was ātrickyā (probably referring to blocked EX Dan Ku Kyaku immediately followed by a throw).
