yea i dont know much about CV…i never finished it. I finished Claire’s file and never went back to finish chris’s scenario.
I don’t think it’s been a case that Capcom ever changed her skin color or African-ess (ha, I just made up a new word), I think Capcom just made sure they made it clear as possible that she’s a native to those parts and not another foreigner coming over seas to kill T-virus infected Africians.

You never notice the uncanny resemblance? He looks and sounds exactly like DiCaprio. Hell, I remember hearing rumors that Steve’s character was modeled after DiCaprio although I’m not sure if that was ever the case.
But I do recommend you go back and finish Chris’ fight. It’s better than Clair’s story because Chris, Alexia and Wesker duke it out.
In Code Veronica X, Wesker apparently takes Steve’s body along with him on his sub, saying that his body holds some amusing secrets or something like that…
And we all know that death in RE becomes sorta irrelevant…
the official word is that they did not change anything to please those claiming re5 was racist. the video can be found on gametrailers or ign, or pretty much anywhere that has all the recent trailers, and interviews.
I totally forgot about that part. Then again, only completed RE:CV like two or three times and that was years ago.

Looking at this now, I’m curious how much time has gone between CV and RE5 because steroid-infected Chris Redfield wouldn’t take that choking shit from Wesker today.
to be honest i cant remember where i found it (was so long ago) but yes, i remember reading something about steve saying he snuck on the boat. you see i could of found this on the original DC version and then in CV X they might of changed it to wesker taking his body from somewhere, but i rememeber it actually being steve who wrote this file (might of been written for claire)
If Capcom can give us a Chris vs. Wesker fight ALA Leon vs. Krauser, This game will be awesome.
That’s what I’m hoping tis comes too as well. This fight is long overdue and I hope they do it the same way as the knife fight in RE4. I’ve still only managed to beat that knife fight once without dying,and I’ve completed that game at least 30 times now.
You mean the D.I.J. diary? IIRC, i think that was written by the rat (don’t ask me) that jumps out the locker in the early parts of the Antarctica bit. Steve died after he transformed due to that Code Veronica virus and Wesker took his body for the virus. It was implied that Steve could be brought back but who knows?
yes, D.I.J. is supposed to be the rat. You can tell by what it says in the diary.

Given Capcom’s track record for anime films and TV series, it will probably suck. But I’ll still be anxiously waiting for it.
Can someone refresh my memory on D.I.J.? I remember the rat but i don’t quite remember its odd significance to the story.
Capcom definitely had Sheba planned from the beginning of Resident Evil 5.
And im slightly disappointed at no Claire. She should have been in the mix SOMEHOW!

I don’t remember there being much significance in the story other than he gets to see a bunch of stuff behind the scenes. He ends up leaving Rockfort so maybe we’ll hear from him in another game. 
About the movie, I’m looking forward to it a lot. It’s got a classic RE vibe to it. Luckily Capcom has contracted sony pictures to do it so we can at least expect Advent Children level quality (which I thought was awesome fan service and a good movie). Plus you have Kobayashi and Takeuchi in charge.

resident evil: code veronica takes place like few months after resident evil 2 while resident evil:umbrella chronicles(umbrella’s end scenario) takes place in 2003.
Claire has had her time. She had half of RE2 and 90% of CV. Chris has been waiting for his moment in the sun since 1996, he’s earned it. I just hope Billy has a spot in Mercenaries this time around.
