possessed villagers are the NEW Zombie…after all how can you evolve a genre when the enemy is the same in each game? possessed villagers work much more better…my thoughts were…a combination of both…possessed zombies…start off as villagers…once killed…there’s a possible chance they’ll come back as zombies…while still under control of whoever is pulling the strings…
since RE4…the series is now more action thriller than survival horror…but I don’t mind…it’s still RE…and that’s what i love

I say main character and not Chris,because it could be a high possibility that the main character is Billy. Something happend to Billy and his group while in Africa that was never stated in Resident Evil:0
When you think about it,they could have saw ahead and decided not to say what happend while he was in Africa,because it could open up the possibility of another game.

If he means the novels written by Perry, I don’t think it states in there that they are some kind of human…just that they can reason and react as humans do.
The Tyrant b.o.w.s are just the ones seen in the games, unfinished/rough types in 1 and CV, final/standard unit like Mr. X and of course the special Nemesis prototype. Perry’s novels do state that those are created from humans in a VERY limited percentile genetic group.
Prequel? hmmm the facial designs are close enough I guess but it seems a little out there. The design for Billy in Zero seems younger than the one in this preview however, and I don’t just mean because of the stubble.

Anyway, July 26 is when we’ll see some more stuff in the longer trailer. This was also the date Chris had made a report on the mansion incident the night before to Brian Irons in hope of starting a full federal investigation on Umbrella. So there may be a connection there with the date chosen for the new info.

I don’t know how anyone in their right mind can not think that RE4 is the best of the series. You’d have to be some kind of retard to sit down and play any of the previous games, then play RE4, then claim that it’s not better.

i still feel that RE4 was the best game, but to be fair, i think it’s a 3-way tie for best RE out of the series because if you we to take each games strong points and weak points then rank them you’ll get the same outcome. none of those games were totally 50-50/balanced as in horror and action…except maybe RE3. RE3 was a lot more closer than the others, IMO, but that’s just me.

Only things scary about the pre-RE4 games were the poor controls, bad camera angles and the fact that they stuck to pre-rendered bgs (aka 1995 technology) for so many years.
well if you really look atr it in the big scheme of things none of the re games are scary enough to make you have nightmares type scary…i think REmake is the scariest re by far simply because of crimson heads
The door animations were scary to me,just because sometimes you never knew what was on the other side of the door.Combine that with poor lighting and bad controls,and all of a sudden you have shit jumping out from nowhere.
Also correct me if I am wrong Doujinshi,but couldn’t Crimson heads enter rooms?
Normal Zombies and Crimson heads both could travel through certain rooms.
