Okay, so I have been playing Mercs mode trying to get better at the game. Does anyone have any tips on what skills are good for maintaining the highest score? my best score is with Jake in the Catacombs (and that’s only like 300k). My combo was 127, until I dropped it because instead of stepping on the downed zombies head I ended up kicking a zombie behind me instead. Anyway, if anyone has some tips on baiting counters (another issue I am having btw, since they don’t always show the prompt).
Just finished up Chris’ campaign. So far my only real problem is the aiming and shooting system, it felt awkward as a whole. Like others have mentioned, the camera vision and movement sucks. Not just the behind the shoulder third person view that they decided to retweak, i also found it particular difficult to visually see whats happening in the environment around me, this only really bothered me during chris’ campaign.
Boss battles are just plain stupid. I find myself spending alot of time trying to figure out the “secret” to defeat the boss. Wasting an entire clip most the time doesnt do shit, and im resorting to finding some kind of explosive barrel that does the trick or activating some kind of trap card. This isnt Zelda or Shadow of Colossus, what happend to good old shooting down the boss?
^pretty much every boss can be taken out with a magnum or rifle…LOL they all have pretty obvious weak spots glowing somewhere. So idk what youre talking about.
^Sub-bosses yes that works. But
[details=Spoiler]
Giant fish - lots of QTE resulting in fishing it off with a barrel
Nemesis 2.0 - i found that knocking over the propane tank and then shooting them once he walked over worked
T-rex - same thing with the explosive barrels.
Giant fly - lighting rod
Ogroman - This one was bullshit, waiting for him to get shocked then find some highground to grab his rod out
Snake BOW - pull the lever to fry it
I can guess that maybe nemesis and t-rex can could be downed with magnum.[/details]
This is my first playthrough so this is what i found that worked.
Eh actually…
For Ustanaky and Rex you can ‘kill’ using conventional weapons but I can’t even count those because that’s not really how they meet their demise in the end.
Ogroman you can kill both of them with conventional weapons and honestly I advise killing them before completing the objective since they drop 4,000 point statues.
So by and large you are right. Bosses are cinematic in nature. It sucks because I loved rushing through RE4/5 (and had I played the original games and unlocked infinite guns for those them as well) with infinite ammo and murdering the bosses witch lightning ninja speed.
Well i didnt have enough bullets to rush these sub bosses down the conventional way.
So if I want to enjoy the RE survival horror experience, I have to find a different series other than RE? I get that the series needs to evolve with the times but I don’t see why I shouldn’t expect a well establish game to remain true to its core despite the evolution in gameplay.
Does anyone know where to find PS3 game saves for this? My PS3 died during Ada chapter 5, and the idea of replaying Chris and Jake’s campaigns hasn’t even crossed my mind. I’d like to beat this game before it starts collecting dust on the shelf, but I can’t bring myself to go through those parts again. I’ve played up to Leon’s final chapter and have already had it.
Yes, If RE isn’t satisfying your survival horror needs go elsewhere. Silent Hill, Siren, Fatal Frame, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Other horror games are there. Expecting RE to be something it hasn’t been for eight years is setting yourself up for disappointment.
The latest RE6 pitch made Ada’s campaign available from the start so no need to replay the other campaigns.
So safe to assume the next Resident Evil game will be about Jake?
If they do another RE, I rather they take there cues from Leon, Ada, and some of Jake’s campaign.
Adas was boring as fuck
For the next RE I would like for stuff to be less scripted. I don’t want to wait for NPC to unlock a door or piece of wood to advance. Instead of cutting to a brief cutscene to show a zombie on the bottom of the staircase just let the fuck leap on you when you get there. Gotta do another Nemesis-like BOW have him show up at random to fuck up your shit instead of his appearances being scripted.
I like how in one of Chris’s chapter the cinematic ends and all you do is run to a door and another cinematic starts, lol. Am I missing something here?
Four separate campaigns intertwined together was just boring. I had more fun with RE5 and RE4.
RE6 does have its problems…not enough action and boss’s…an invisible snake that you can see?..ugh…
leon’s chapter 1 was a interactive movie…
Not enough action?? I thought there was too much…i dont understand you guys
Oh there was alot of action going on
You just had to watch it really
I need to load up my RE4 to play adas campaign cause way back then I thought it was just some small side thing/just play through as a different character. It was my first RE dont judge me! I dont have a ps2 copy anymore, so I might just get it on psn.
and then ill play through the old ones that I also have on psn.
It’s kind of funny playing the old RE games now. I think there are more zombies in 5 minutes of Leon’s campaign than in all of RE2. I just replayed it this weekend and kept thinking how this empty hallway or this empty room would be flooded with the undead now.
DLC for Dante/Trish was announced. Neo-umbrella got in contact with demons.
Source?
It could be their way of paying us back from the re2 akuma fiasco lol
Sent from the next dimension using saiyantalk…
but its true!
