Um that’s fucking Leon IRL
Jesus Christ.
So homo right now.
Same voice actor from RE4 right? Sounds a little different in RE6, then again it may just seem that way because he seems more gruff in appearance in RE6.

I believe RE4 had a different voice actor, however RE6 VA also did Damnation.
Awesome how he knew he was auditioning for Leon because he had played the previous Resident Evil games.
It wasn’t just you, some people have noticed that. or better yet: some people failed to notice it was capcom’s amazing athmosphere and they’re nitpicking on minor details like being able to see.
I’ve never played RE2 but I’ve seen gameplay, and they added a character to be Jake Mueller’s support character that was from like a note from RE2, this game looks alot like RE2 with all the urban areas.
I like it. It’s different, I hope it’s also a spiritual sequel plotwise to RE4, and I just realized something.
In RE4 Leon get injected with Los Plagas, so does that mean he has some immunity to possible C/T viruses?
Yeah, the demo is too damn dark. And someone mentioned tanks controls for this game? Yep. Nothing is fluid. Visually the game looks entertaining. I was interested in this RE and was keeping an eye on it because the trailer looked like a lot of fun. But when I played, especially Chris, it felt like I was moving with weighted clothing on. Camera angle wasn’t an issue since in Godhand, you can’t see behind yourself at all without turning. Nothing I couldn’t handle. One thing that strikes me as extremely stupid is that when you access the settings the game doesn’t pause. The character just crouches. Why am I hearing gunfire while I’m increasing the brightness?
I liked the feel of RE4/5 better.
So there’s a different feeling between each character indicating tha- fuck it… Some people moaning its too action like some people complaining it has survival horror non fluid tank controls
It’s true the public are never satisfied, which is why they shouldn’t try anything new and go EA on your asses. EA is the greatest company since alcohol and cigerettes
You know what’s not a fast horror shooter? Dead Space. The guy in Dead Space doesn’t move like the guy in Vanquish. Nowhere near as fluid or as fast but Dead Space never felt clunky. I have no complaints about movement in Dead Space but RE6? Tank. It’s like there’s weights at my ankles and I’m thrown under water. I got no complaints about the camera. None about the melee. Evading seems a bit too much like everyone is trying to dodge a car or something but that’s fine. It’s tolerable as Jake but it feels worse as Chris. Icing on the cake is how playing Leon feels the best. So my complaint pretty much boils down to just Chris. Haven’t played any of the females yet.
And you sound like you’ll be on board if the next Street Fighter title forced you to execute moves like they did in SF1.
Yeah that sounds good actually!
On topic- I’m interested in new systems and the semantics behind why they’ve chosen to implement these systems, my guess through the capacity to notice that zombies in Leon’s path tend to carry on an attack even while headless requiring you to be active to the avatar-enemy animation process instead of just running and shooting you have to be alive to what’s happening. Also the implementation of wall pushing adding to the fluidity of a player getting the avatar through the environment.
The gameplay in dead space is pretty simple in comparison, shoot, watch ammo, and run. Also shoot windows and shoot air lock before death.
The whole point of 6’s new mechanics is to survive the conflicts with the enemies put before you and the situations each enemies create for you. There’s a possibility high level Resi 6 play could be really really interesting. This gets me interested!
God Hand gives you a radar that give you full 360 degree visual at all times. This is a bad comparison.
Edit: Actually, it’s a good comparison. God Hand knew that in a fast paced game that little visual range is a bad thing and thus gave you a way to see around you at all times.
What? When did SRK upgrade to having edited posts appear in quoted posts? Anyway, I aside from my small complaint, actually like RE6 but I wouldn’t buy it for 60 bucks. 30? Sure.
I made that Edit pretty close to after I made the post. Yo probably didn’t refresh the page to see the edit, but it was in the system when you hit the reply button.
And I never said you hated RE6.
Then the question is- is Resi 6 Survival Horror or a feel good action game ?
Looks like a feel good action game. The strength of the playable characters looks to be very empowering.
Maxed out Chris vs A world of zombies
I can’t wait
This is more story related than gameplay, so I’ll spoiler tag it. I know Sherry has G-Virus immunity but, Jake says…
Shit Jake says in the demo
She heals herself. Does she have Logan’s healing powers now? lol. Was there a document detailing this in RE 5?
Most likely, it’s just new for this. Those two are the most op duo in all of RE anything(game wise. Not counting Alice). lol
I think thats just jake cracking jokes…but I could be wrong…
Jake/Sherry is going to be the most broken campaign…lol…but im doing Leon/Helena first…
Got around to playing the demo last night. Like the new gameplay more than I thought I would. I’ll pick it up on release day.
I am going through a couple more plays on the demo. I am liking it (especially with laser sight enabled). I think it will be better than we think. so far Leon’s campaign is my favorite so far. I feel like you have to be smart as far as engaging zombies, or fleeing. I hope there will be more options for environmental hazards to help you along the way. Either way, I will be at the midnight release.
It’s probably not realised due to the low difficulty
RE4’s field of view compared to RE6’s
Got this from NeoGaf and it proves my point.
