I’ve been trying to tell people this in the RE thread, there is even a file with all the listed Wesker’s and who is active, no one listened but he’s the most likely candidate.
I have no doubts actual Wesker could return but eh, you never know.
Game looks ok, I don’t like the whole gears of war cover system and shoot mechanics but I’m pretty used to this series going away from what I personally want.
I told Capcom I was done with their shitty games…but Leon, Ingrid, and Ashley are back?

Cuz he got to be super awesome and bad ass and then die like a boss. He’s also been the real badguy for over 10 years. his stories over, give us someone else. Also him coming back from being missiled, inside a volcano, surrounded, literally, by lava, will kill any kind of meaning death has in this series. Dude already came back from being iced in RE1, him coming back again would be eye rollingly lame. It’s bad story telling, and not that RE has anything resembling stellar story telling but lets have it keep what little semblance of dignity it has left in that department please.

I can’t believe anyone would actually want Wesker to still be alive. Of all the over the top bullshit you want him to survive falling into a fucking volcano, and not only that you want him to have ducked missiles while sinking into lava. I’d rather a character I liked die all flashy like that than survive in such a stupid way.

I mean, I grew up with Wesker being the main protaginst since everytime he’d come out, there’s trouble near by coming with him.
but hey, you never know that capcom brings that fucker back.
They should just play the Wesker off in RE5 as one of those project’s children. (since he’s pretty much completely out of character, has completely different plans, has a change in voice, etc.)
