I haven’t been following this game much since it’s announcement, but now that I’m getting around to the new trailers I think this might be the first flagship RE game I skip. I can kind of get over them moving more toward action but I don’t want to play this game co-op/with an AI partner. That really kills the mood for me, and now that it’s been revealed everyone has a partner I’m really pretty disappointed. Also if the rumors about main villain are true I’m even more disappointed. That character as main antagonist would have been perfect, not the whole clone route. I guess I’ll put this one in the wait and see column for now.
Lastly, and not totally importantly, I hate Chris Redfield. Give me literally any other character from the past over this guy that was just in the last game. Claire, Barry, fucking Rebecca, JILL. lol nope, more Chris.
Storyline wise you’re not gonna get Claire and Barry just cause those characters decided to get away from that lifestyle of fighting B.O.W.'s. Rebecca and Jill would be interesting to see in another game and Billy too. RE5 could’ve definitely capitalized on Billy.

As I see it.
I didn’t see any regen health in any of the trailers or did I miss something.
No regen health. BladeItself just being like the legions of other people who don’t like this direction of RE and want it like back in the old days even though in the old days none of the stuff was scary.
Scary is subjective. I do miss the oppressive atmosphere, tension and resource management of the old games even if the scary parts were jump scares.
I don’t mind co-op returning. It’s the only thing that made me want to play the campaign in RE5. I bet that RE0 would have been a better game if it had it. Even though every character has a partner they only appeared in cutscenes from what we seen. None of the gameplay stuff with Leon as of yet showed him with Helena.
I felt you got that tension a bit in certain parts of RE5 though it would’ve benefitted greatly by having the game set at night.
I must admit I’m tired of Chris…I hope he dies in 6.

Chris should die in RE6 by a huge rock overpowering him and finally falling on him. It’d be a much fitting end and the only way to go out.
