Resets off the infinite

does any body know any good resets for ironman when your in the jumping infinite? or how can u link it into his super? i can set it up with no problem, but my timing isn’t all that great. i can keep them in the air for about 14-15 hit and after that i loose it … :confused:

maybe the enemy is already low enough. if this happens, just do [j.lk j.mp j.mk j.hp.] and do the normal pattern again. this puts them back to that certain needed height.

EDIT: just do this once. then go back to the normal pattern. this is common on big characters like sent. you do this every like 2-3 sets of the inf

once you are doing the inf at the wall u can cancel into S.fp then cancel to super…takes a while for the timing on the cancel but keep practicing…hope i helped =)

Yep. Once you perfect the inf into PC, there’s no need at all for resets.

How come when I connect the inf to a proton cannon the enemy falls right away or is my timing just bad? Should I connect it with any assist or possible how about a smart bomn first?

Would a standing HP, repulsor blast XX PC work? That’s the only way I can seem to get them. Doing HP XX PC doesn’t combo them for me.

you want:

  1. 1 straight up jumping repetition away from the corner… so end with jump upforward repetition (right in the corner), jump up repetition, s.HP xx PC. this will leave you close enough so the 1st hit of PC will actually hit the enemy, but far away enough that your fierce hits correctly (with the fat part, not near his hands)

  2. the last repetition needs to have u+HP as close to the ground as possible, so the last few reps delay the LP after you jump (it sounds funky but you can get away with a huge delay)

vs sentinel/blackheart/jugg/etc you want to do #2, but instead of leaving some distance from the corner you want to stay as close as possible to the corner (so the last couple reps jump upforward), then end with s.LP,c.MP xx PC

it works sometimes, but it’s got like a 75% chance of throwing them behind you and your super misses.

My advice to you is to not even use fierce to connect the proton cannon.
I refuse to ever use fierce into proton cannon ever again after I lost in a tournament along time ago trying to do fierce to PC. I was so into the match that I forgot how many hits of the inf I had already done and by the time I hit him with fierce he got dizzy and I.M. was stuck there with the cannon in his hand waiting to get fucked. So I trained myself not to use fierce into PC so instead I just do inf directly into proton cannon and that also allows you to get up to about 53/55 hits of the inf. Its pretty cool and pretty easy too.

And if you want to change it up a bit (Because its so fucking boring just doing inf and the same shit over and over again) you should try doing dash repulsor (jab version) blast on the last rep into proton cannon.

well sometime if you don’t have enough meter…for the current character or the next guard broken character…

one is rep>dash to other side low kick>inf setup>inf

another is rep>sj.upforward lp>addf to other side (reset)>up+hp>inf

you can maybe do that a couple time in a row. great damage.

i have a reset of ironman from nj.infinite.

infinite, sjf.lk, ad.df lp+uf fp[cross-up], then infinite again.

It’s hard for me to believe that you wouldn’t have a super after doing infinite.
They might not die but they’ll only have about 2% H.P. anyway.

well that’s why they wouldn’t be used as much. but some cases you might need to do it. SOME cases.

I’m working on being able to do that unfly infinite anywhere and trying to bring 'em down. just pretty difficult because you have to do certain things depencing on the situation. But learning that comes with experience I guess :slight_smile:

try watching “Team Upset Combo Videos and Highlights”, i think that was unfly hp > addf hp > fly lk > hp >unfly … cont. but instead of doing addf hp after the unfly, you do addf lp > hp when the height is already low enough. correct me if i’m wrong btw…

well it depends on the size and weight of the character and their position in relation to you and how you start the combo and when and where the timing of your attacks.
