Complete single player with all characters. I don’t know if it has to be normal or higher, but I ended up doing it through normal-1 round-30 sec to get both the trophy and the icon.
i got some icons from finishing some combo challenges
but what are they for?
i loooked around for them and i dont know where they are on the xbox.

I play on a PS3, so I’ll assume that R1 = Right Bumper. At any time on the Main Menu or in the Network Battle submenu, press R1/Right Bumper to bring up your Arcade Request, Icon and Title settings. You can select an Icon or Title from this menu using the appropriate menu selection.
