Liberterians are right leaning. Especially when it comes to “economic” issues. They certainly aren’t progressuve on social issues that deal with welfare, even in the most basic way
Neo conservatism is further right than old school 50-89 conservatism anyway.
All I’m saying is, if you agree with an argument, then agree. Don’t turn away from a logical solution or except a compromise just so you can appear empathetic too all parties or seem cool because you don’t appear to agree with any party. Too much focus on being rebels and hipsters and not enough focus on actually being correct, these days.
Getting monsy out of politics would damn near fix everything, corruption-wise. Arrest and prosecute lobbyists and whatever OTHER terms they made up to disguise what they really (influence purchasers, bribe offerers). Then there’s the HARD part: trying to make sure people actually know what’s up with the candidates, and what shady, self-serving shit they’re in to this day (coughcoughMiss tracksuited sociopath).
I actually think Neocons are more akin to someone jammed religious conservatives into a blender with progressive spenders of the left with a tiny bit of Ayn Rand for flavor, but instead of raising taxes they just deficit spend to fund their social programs, for example the Medicare prescription drug coverage plan started buy George W Bush. So voters like this because you get social programs at traditional conservative pricing and your ancestors get to foot the bill, even though in that same breath, they will speak badly about how we are screwing over the next generation. It’s just a big silly contradiction of it’s own supposed core values.
I personally voted Donald but I respect the 20% of people that voted for Ron Paul Lite. I used to think that the democrats would stay in power for the next 8 years after seeing how pathetic the cuckservatives were, but if Trumps gets the nomination I can see a real scramble for the finish line. Who the fuck is going to vote for a cunt that talks about Australia-style forced gun buyback? Rhetorical question.
I still can’t help but look at politics as professional wrestling. How can one side be so empirically right about everything and the other side be such anti-intellectual, misogynistic, sociopathic , superstitious war mongers? Every once in a while I’ll get paranoid and I’ll have to ask people,
“Am I missing something? I know life is about perspective, but it really seems like Republicans are wrong about every goddamn thing there is to be wrong about.” and invariably it’s confirmed that no one but an idiot goes along with modern day republican ideals.
It’s almost like they’re herding the american people. The up their own ass intellectuals will always vote democrat because the democrats are thoughtful and logical and the GOP will scrape up the tards of the country who feel threatened by two men holding hands and suck on the teet of American exceptional-ism a bit too hard.
Some of this shit about Ben Carson can’t be real… I lost it when i read the story about how his beautiful hands stopped a rabbid bear during a camping trip…
Side note I have no issue with the man worshipping himself in his home with all the self portraits, as a matter of fact I’m planning a picture of me and black jesus as we speak
That’s because, and I fully admit I’m making an assumption here, you only read liberal media. It’s just as bad as trying to understand liberal America by reading Breitbart.
Add some WSJ and National Review for a more well balanced diet. Read stuff from smart conservatives like Thomas Sowell. Hell, read all to articles that Realclearpolitics puts up- they’re a pretty balanced aggregator.
America is split between liberal and conservative for a good reason- because both ideological traditions have important things to say about the role of government in people’s lives.
You must be referring to the vast majority of college students seemingly minoring in conservatism, celebrities almost universally endorsing republican candidates, and the mainstream media’s tendency to always lean right.
That’s the thing, I really don’t. TYT has a liberal bias, but I don’t get any news from television. RT mostly. The news has very little spin on it. I’d like to think I’m cognizant enough of spin to still be objective. But the only thing I think Republicans are even a little bit right about is immigration. The rest of their platform is built on religious belief and monetary greed. It’s just objectively bullshit, if the goal is the good of all Americans, specifically.
rubio is a fucking moron and needs to go home. Ill admit that after extensive research Ted Cruz is imo is the opposite of Sanders, but both operate on the same principles, style of rhetoric, and argument construction and presentation. . Some of his points piss me the fuck off though. But that’s not exclusive to him. All canadites do that.
What we need is a democrat/republican ticket for 2016 for a more centrist adminstration.
