Canada is in a rough place, since a lot of our business and economy is tied into the value of our dollar vs USD. When our dollar was worth more than America’s, we started losing business from people who were buying shit at a discount up here (lumber, groceries, etc). We also started losing a lot of American Hollywood filming (tons of movies get filmed in Canada as stand ins for US cities, since we don’t look obviously Euro, and you don’t have to worry about Euro ads and stores in the background, we still rocking McD’s and Starbucks). So we had to actually DEVALUE our dollar, to force Americans to come back shopping here. Only now, our dollar is worthless, and our shitty corrupt government is still in power, since the fucking Bush days (no two term limits up here). And the only people who vote anymore are ass backwards hillbillies living in the prairie provinces, so they keep voting for their own.
It is very likely that this is a Howard Dean situation where he leads all the polls, media coverage is huge on him and then he later implodes. Either way Trump is making things hilariously entertaining.

Canada’s problem is that the their export economy economy is predominantly based on oil and OPEC is kinda fucking that market up for everybody right now by driving the prices so low. The yen was really strong against the dollar around the same time the Canadian dollar was, but the Japanese economy is more diverse and was better able to take advantage of the re-adjustment.

Why can’t america realize that the reason why the Chinese and Mexicans are taking jobs is because of the fact that they worked hard to get it?
