Republican Party presidential candidates, 2016

Not sure if I’m venting or asking a question, but I need to write this somewhere - where I could get responses back, that arent just stupid social media.

I walk the line between both parties, like 60/40 demo/repub.

What’s the point this go around? Trump & Carson are leading the Republican party right now? Two people with no experience - who are completely out of touch and prove so everytime they open their mouths? If I don’t agree with the democratic platform, my options are shit with a wig and shit that thinks its brown, but has no clue what being brown shit actually is? I do not like Hilary - and Bernie Sanders sounds almost as delusional as Trump, he’s not coming off like an idiot about it, but he’s promising so much stuff that looking up “Campaign Over-Promise” on Google will show nothing but pictures of him. Then during debates, so much energy is expelled being stern that Obama has made the country worse, that they all come off as idiots (not calling them that, its just how they sound).

Am I missing something? Did Trump or Carson find some hyperbolic time chamber to train “how to run the gov’t”?

Dude, change that dumb avatar. I can’t have you walking around like that.

Haha can’t hate on the Painyatta fam, best of the villains from Skylanders. If I stay around a bit though I will.

Now there’s a 99% chance that Trump will be the next president in January 2017!!!

Just because Carson and Trump are leading the polls right now doesn’t mean that they’ll win the primary. At this point the polls are more about name recognition than anything else. IIRC at the same time last year Trump was also leading the polls solely because of name recognition.

Right now, the smart money is on Rubio or Cruz eventually winning the nomination.

If you’re not interested in any of the Dems, Trump or Carson, you might want to pay a bit more attention to those two.

Thus far, the liberal media has been very successful in attacking Carson- something that has been absolutely necessary to defend the fiction that the Dems are the party which cares about minorities while Republicans only care about the interests of old white men.

If Rubio and Cruz rise in the polls, expect to see more media attacks that attempt to paint them as:

  1. Race traitors (like Halperin tried)
  2. Unelectable clowns (a charge that was easy enough to stick on Carson because he’s a political amateur, but will be much harder to pin to these two)

I would vote for Rand Paul.

I don’t see why people like Donald Trump. He changed his views overnight to run as a Republican and there’s no substance at all to a lot of his answers in the debates. In the last debate he went on a 90 second rant of nonsense and China when asked about the TPP and still people take him seriously. I understand the mans made a lot of money but people are supporting him basically because he’s a celebrity.

Also Marco Rubio would be just as bad as Bush IMO.

People support Trump because he’s a celebrity, yes, but people are also sick of politicians, which also explains the rise of Carson. Lots of people identify themselves as Conservatives but not as Republicans.

Rand Paul is probably the biggest casualty of the Paris attacks. The chances of him winning the nomination before Paris happened was small enough, considering how the Libertarians are still a relatively small group. After Paris, though, no one’s going to take his “leave em alone and they’ll leave use alone” foreign policy seriously.

Paul will definitely be hurt by the Paris attacks. He’s already trying to appeal to a party of hawks while competing against a bunch of hawks for the most part, some more than others.

Even though Trump is an outsider he’s a fake imo. I’ve heard him in radio interviews over the past few years talking a whole different game and was a huge democrat supporter. Paul was the real outsider imo that came in with a modified more electable version of his fathers policies.

I don’t think Trump or Carson will get the nod. I honestly think it will be Rubio or Bush unfortunately.

I thought historically the richest candidate is the one who wins. I pray to God Donald doesn’t get the nod.

I can’t think of a time in my lifetime where that has been true actually.

If that was true then Ross Perot would have won vs Clinton and Bush. He was imo a much better pick than either of them.

Ted Cruz calls out Obama. We WWE now.

Obama: “Last time you got the mic, you talked for 21 hours straight. We aren’t making that mistake twice.”

Good article on Cruz:

Like him or hate him, it would be a mistake to write him off as a loony

I’m talking specifically within the context of a discussion on the race for the Republican nomination.

But thanks for the out of context gotcha. Now I believe that you are indeed a journalist.

Choose your words better next time.

The Democratic Party has been EXTREMELY racist in the past. Look it up.

The modern republican party is overran with pro-authoritarian fascists.
